[edit] Unchainer's Arrival

Unchainer's first appearance was in late December of 2006, in the form of her frequent trips to the Ski Chalet in the D to have some of DJ Zero's red wine. This would be her first public appearance, as she would frequent many other spots in the Isles, noticeable by various objects and people being decayed.

Her first notable ally when she arrived was a dog-man named Unlatched, or as she referred to him, Pookie. No one really is sure why exactly she calls this vicious-looking dog man Pookie, or even why he seemingly puts up with her pet-like treatment of him, ranging from Unchainer patting his forehead, hugging him or feeding him food in reward for something he did. Despite all that though, she refutes any claims that she treats him like a mere pet. Unlatched was and still is extremely protective of Unchainer, and could be considered her first bodyguard. To this day he still protects her, and she still calls him Pookie and shows an out of character-like glee whenever she see's him.

It was during this early time she was recruited to join the Corruptors of Paragon, led by the man known as Lord Paragon. She quickly proved her loyalty to Lord Paragon by obediently following all of his orders, never questioning them, and performing every action with a polite smile. On the outside, aside from her urge to cause destruction and death, she seemed to be the perfect person that one could trust in.

This trust would be something abused by Unchainer however, when she encountered one of Lord Paragon's enemies, Dr. Degravitation. She did not know his motives, nor why he disliked Lord Paragon, however he requested her help in bringing him down by spying on him. The good doctor paid Unchainer fairly well to find out whatever he was planning with a hero as well as a woman named Luficia. Unchainer would have made the perfect spy, being someone who was completely in Lord Paragon's trust. She took the money and began a job as a double-agent, informing Lord Paragon of Doctor Degravitation's plans, while giving the Doctor false information on Lord Paragon's works.

Unchainer's farce came to a head after receiving numerous amounts of money and artifacts, including a dagger and a good sum of Luficia's money that she had planned to use for her college fund. Dr. Degravitation came to the realization that someone was playing him when he found the information given was a lie, but to this day Unchainer refuses to acknowledge any of her wrong-doing, insisting that Lord Paragon, in his immense power, saw through Unchainer's attempts and fed her false information.

[edit] Enter Thyra

A rare moment of Unchainer outsmarting Thyra.
A rare moment of Unchainer outsmarting Thyra.

Unchainer was seen one night in the ski chalet arguing with a Greek woman named Thyra, the source of their debate involving the flinging of several insults and the issue of someone being rude.

It's not know by many people what happened after the two left to fight each other, though it can definitely be said that the two fought, judging by their bruises and wounds when they returned to the ski chalet. Shortly afterwards, the two began to work together on various "jobs", quotations being used because neither considered the mass killings of Freakshow, Council, etc. as a job but rather an enjoyable passtime, one could say. Alongside with Thyra's robot, nicknamed Maxie by her, and Unlatched, the group of four made a terrifying sight for any villain or hero to see, carving nothing but a path of destruction against anyone who dared to stand against them.

Some people have noticed that Thyra, during this time and still now, seems to receive plenty of what people want from Unchainer: her attention and interest. (Editor's Note: I know, that could've gone towards a really dirty path). Aside from Unlatched, Thyra is the only other person who Unchainer seems to go out of her way to see in the D, and who can also speak to Unchainer in more relaxed terms; some may call it rude, but Unchainer seems to take any of it as terms of endearment.

[edit] Carving Her Destiny, Her Destined Nemesis

Rose and her mortal nemesis in a chance encounter.
Rose and her mortal nemesis in a chance encounter.

After numerous experiences with Thyra and Unlatched, along with the dissappearance of Lord Paragon, Unchainer left the Corruptors of Paragon, setting off to form her own destiny with the help of Thyra. In these times, her and Thyra were seen recruiting those who they saw as able and fit to launch raids against heroes in Siren's Call. Unchainer was the "recruiter", the one who sifted out those who were up to bar and those who lacked skill, and arranged meeting times for them to gather. Thyra was the war leader, the one who formed the strategies for battle and who was at the head of each charge.

Aside from their numerous skirmishes with heroes in Siren's Call, Unchainer and Thyra were also seen attacking anyone who spoke ill of them in the Isles, focusing on building their reputation one island at a time. At first it was Sharkhead, with the Scrapyarders, the Family, and the Warriors, the last group seeming to hold a special place of hate for Thyra. Then it was Nerva Archipelago, where Agincourt and Longbow felt the fury of the duo. Finally they spent much time in St. Martial, Thyra's old living area, dealing out pain to the Freakshow and the Carnival.

All of these deeds earned the two much respect, but also a few enemies. One of which sought to settle the score with Unchainer in particular. One fateful night, when Unchainer was in an abandoned building, she was set upon by the assassin Kichi, who was hired to kill her. In the brief skirmish, it seemed Unchainer somehow had the upper hand, though it may have simply been Kichi was holding back. Whatever the cause, Unchainer briefly detained Kichi, enough time to see that the woman had another side to her. Unchainer unleashed this 'other' Kichi, the worst side to her, with the purpose of trying to control it for her own ends. However, Kichi's side proved too much and went out of control, delivering a near fatal stab to Unchainer's stomach. With her last energy, Unchainer bound Kichi's evil side again. Kichi departed, leaving Unchainer there to bleed.

Unchainer pleaded for Thyra's help over her comm, and indeed help arrived swiftly. Thyra stitched Unchainer's wound and helped her recover. It was on that night that Unchainer swore revenge against Kichi; a vengeance fulfilled either with Kichi's death, or complete control over this other side that she had.

[edit] Evilly Yours

The details of the relationship between Rose and Thyra were not fully known by most, save for the fact that they were seen together numerous times in the Isles, warzones, and the D. Many patrons found the dynamic between the two quite odd. Unchainer, who normally cared very little for the attention of anyone in the D, would show interest in Thyra whenever she would come around; though interest in terms of Unchainer means actually being the first to initiate conversation, with a tone showing genuine interest. This would be odd, as Thyra seems to be the one person who rarely compliments Unchainer in public, as she normally seems to be on the receiving end of numerous compliments (or scowls, depending on the group).

At a certain point, almost suddenly some would say, Unchainer and Thyra were seen walking around with rings on their left ring fingers, indicating something more between the two. As well, after Valentine's day, Unchainer is never seen without her black choker necklace with an emerald rose dangling from it. When questioned about it, she replies that it was a gift given by someone very dear to her.

The two have had numerous adventures since uniting together, though the word adventure sounds light-hearted, when in fact most of their "adventures" ended in numerous corpses being left in their wake. Though one thing can be said, which is that both seem to enter a different mindset when the other is injured. Attendee's at the hospital in St. Martial noted that once a weakened and bloodied Unchainer carried in a pale and unconscious Thyra single-handely into the hospital (an extraordinary feat by Unchainer's standards, who is not very muscular). Other's have accounted for Thyra entering into a rage to protect Unchainer at one time when she was severely injured by the Council, single-handedly taking out an entire office building of them.

[edit] Unchainer Unchained

One day while in Bloody Bay, a man with black wings and an odd symbol on his chest appeared to Unchainer, demanding that she release the power of her curse to him. She refused, and the man walked off with the promise that he would return. Days later, Unchainer was ambushed by a woman in a building in St. Martial, who sought to take her life and salvage the curse she bore from her dead body. However, the woman underestimated Unchainer's command over the curse and was killed.

The mysterious winged man, realizing quickly that Unchainer was more powerful than they reckoned for, decided to hire help. He knew the secret behind her powers, and hired the mercenary Naughty Nadya to either capture Unchainer and bring her to him, or to bring her chains. Nadya agreed, and it seemed that the hunt for Unchainer's powers was on.

Nadya encountered Unchainer the next day in the D and utilized her love of red wine against her, slipping a drug into her wine and offering Unchainer the chance to see her own large wine collection. Unchainer agreed and the two left the D and went to Sharkhead. However, due to her light body weight, Unchainer began to feel the affects of the drug, and with a swift hit to the neck she was unconscious. Nadya brought Unchainer back to her hideout and left her there, returning to the D.

Unknown to Unchainer, there were those in the D who knew something was a miss. Luficia, Kat Kisses, and Thag Zug had noticed Nadya's suspicious interactions with Unchainer and demanded to know where she was. Push came to shove, and eventually numerous people attempted to fight Nadya. Though not all of them were victorious, Luficia managed to strike a deal with Nadya. Unchainer would be delivered to Luficia in Bloody Bay the next day, without her chains.

Sure enough the next day, Luficia arrived in Bloody Bay to find Unchainer barely conscious inside of an empty trash container without her chains. Left in a state of panic, Unchainer took Luficia's cellphone and frantically called Thyra to come get her. Thyra arrived and the two left, though Unchainer was much worse for the wear.

Nadya delivered the chains to the contact and received her payment. However, before the man could enact whatever plan he had, Nadya turned the tables and killed him, keeping the chains for her own use. The next few days were difficult for Unchainer, being forced out into the open without her chains, along with a bragging Nadya, holding the chains over her head like a prize.

This ended from a completely unexpected source; Unchainer's nemesis, Kichi. When the Flame Assassin found out someone else was causing Unchainer this much grief and anguish, she became determined to stop them, not out of care for the woman, but because it was not her causing the pain. She confronted Nadya and demanded the chains back, the conditions being if the two fought and won, Nadya would hand over the chains. After much debating back and forth, Nadya accepted, though she brought along three of her friends to the fight. Not one to walk into a bad situation, Kichi recruited Fearghas, Unchained Melodie, and Trevor Pillman to fight. The group fought, with Kichi's side coming out victorious. Angered, Nadya tossed the chains to Kichi's feet and stormed off. Kichi returned the chains to Unchainer, but promised that she did this only so that she would be able to kill Unchainer completely, and not feel that she was merely finishing someone else's job.

[edit] The Flame Assassin's Fury

Despite the aid from Kichi, Unchainer was determined to exact her vengeance. In her previous attempt to control Kichi, Unchainer was utterly defeated. But things were different now, she had more control over her powers than she ever did; in fact, in the few skirmishes that she and Kichi had, Unchainer had emerged the victor more times than before. It was time to attempt to bind and control the Flame Assassin again.

Unchainer lured Kichi into a warehouse in St. Martial and began her assault. In a surprise, Unchainer had the edge over the Kichi, but she could tell the woman was holding back. Full of hubris from her new powers, Unchainer demanded Kichi unleash all that she had, including her 'other' side. Kichi finally agreed, after testing Unchainer against her Mu Mystic, Herbie. Unchainer released Kichi's hidden side and prepared to defeat her once and for all.

However, Kichi was stil more than Unchainer could handle, and was soundly defeated by her lightning speed and quick reflexes. Still being controlled by her "evil" side, Kichi delivered a message to Unchainer to not try that again by stabbing her katana into each of Unchainer's legs, and then threatened Unchainer's future child. Much like their previous encounter, Unchainer bound the evil Kichi before any more could happen. Seeing the sight of Unchainer's feet barely attached to her legs, Kichi wrapped them in her scarf and departed. And once again, it would be Thyra who would rescue Unchainer from the warehouse.

Back in their secret lair off the coast of Sharkhead, Thyra realized that Unchainer's feet were far too damaged to try to reattach, and was force to cut the remaining off. Unchainer was horrified at the prospect of never having feet again, but Thyra had a plan. Over the next day or two, Thyra used her vast knowledge of medicine and technology to construct a new pair of feet for Unchainer and attached them to her legs. After a few days, Unchainer was good as new, at least physically. Emotionally, her grudge against Kichi was larger than ever, and she was bent on ending it once and for all.

Some time later in the D, Unchainer proposed to Kichi that they fight in the arena, much like the two always do. Kichi agreed, not needing too much of a reason to try to fight Unchainer. This match was different however; Thyra had rigged this specific match to teleport the two outside of the arena match and into a specific area of the Isles. Kichi didn't seem to mind much, as it meant getting to truly hurt Unchainer again. But Unchainer was prepared this time, and with a push of a button, froze over the lake that Kichi was standing in. The two fought briefly, Unchainer wounding Kichi with make-shift ice bullets in her revolver and an ice sword. However, the arena system glitched and fixed itself, causing the two to teleport back into the D with all their wounds.

After much arguing back and forth, in which the two stated their reasons for fighting, Unchainer stating that she must protect her future child, Kichi stating she had to protect her own family, the two came to a temporary cease-fire, under the agreement that they would not try to kill each other again. Though those present would probably say the likelyhood of that lasting would be very, very small.

[edit] Recovery and Resurgence

After her bout with Kichi, Unchainer slowly began to recover from her numerous wounds, both physically and emotionally. It would be a few weeks later that some would notice her stomach growing larger, not from fat, but clearly from what appeared to be a child. The news of Unchainer being pregnant seemed to baffle mostly everyone who heard it, save for Thyra. Before any could make lude suggestions about Thyra's gender, the two would explain that it was through science, and not some perverse twist of the human anatomy that Unchainer became pregnant. It is for this reason why many have not seen Unchainer drink her usual red wine in the summer months in the D, though she still seems quite able to start trouble or cause mayhem or chaos during her early months of pregnancy.

It would be during her early stages of pregnancy that Unchainer, seemingly for the first time, performed a good deed. The abomination known as Mr. Hide had one day set his sights on Unchainer's, "purty skin" and "purty hair" in the D, after causing Vexx Vandal and Crimson Cutlass in the D much...weirdness, at his fetish for his skin suit of a woman. Mr. Hide briefly ran his hand on her face and hair, causing Unchainer unimaginable annoyance at that. Not one to allow herself to be touched in such a disgusting way, she went along with his desire to take her to his "play area" to see if she could survive his rides. Once she was outside of the D, she turned and viciously attacked the man, the combination of her decay powers, her gun, and her knife overwhelming Mr. Hide, causing him to retreat into the D before Unchainer could decay his suit into pieces. Since then she has been on the look out for the man, all too eager to destroy the suit and give the man beneath it his proper punishment for such a disgusting act.

[edit] A Hex, A Cheerleader, and The Pirates

During their travels, Thyra and Unchainer one day retrieved a book of magic, which detailed various curses, or rather "Hexes" to put onto people. The two read over the book (though this part was mostly done by Thyra) over a few days, curious as to which hex did what to certain people. Then one night, the two struck upon one that Unchainer enjoyed greatly; a hex that would shift someone's personality into that of a bubbly, flirty, and carefree young woman, almost like a cheerleader. Without a second thought, the two knew who their target would be: Kichi. They enacted the hex and sure enough, after a few hours, Kichi was turned into what could only be described as a cheerleader version of herself, much to the amusement of Unchainer and Thyra.

Unchainer opted to visit Kichi during the first few hours of her transformation to view it, tipping off the Pirate group, The Dread Aces, of her involvement in whatever was causing this to her. Jet Nitro tried to investigate further and offer Unchainer anything she wanted to have Kichi returned back to normal. At first, Unchainer could think of nothing. Thyra, however, immedietely had an idea once Unchainer spoke to her of it. Kichi loved dancing, and had also removed Unchainer's feet. So then, their deal would be Kichi's hex would be removed at the cost of one of her feet being chopped off and frozen.

Unchainer presented the deal to the Dread Aces. Their captain, Crimson Cutlass, reluctantly agreed to it, only due to the insistance of Kichi to get it over with. Unchainer blindfolded Kichi and Sungazer, who insisted on going as well, and brought them the lair. Thyra was there waiting to perform the procedure, and after the hex was removed, she sliced off Kichi's foot with her large axe and froze it over. However, Unchainer failed to remove the communicator's from Sungazer and Kichi, allowing the Dread Aces to track down their lair. Caught by surprise, Thyra and Unchainer could not fight off the entire crew of the Aces and were defeated, with Kichi retrieving her foot. Though they were defeated, the two were only fueled further to strengthen themselves, and as well knew that they now had a new enemy to go up against, the Dread Aces, as long as they insisted on getting in the way of future plots against Kichi.

[edit] Appolonia

Unchainer's pregnancy was not a normal one. For reasons unknown to herself (though the most logical conclusion would be because of her powers somehow) the progress of the pregnancy sped up after three months. She went from being three months pregnant one week to nearly six months the next, the harsh change wracking her body. She would only be seen in the D for limited periods of time, and the people of the Isles could breath a sigh of relief knowing she would temporarily not be causing terror and chaos to them.

Her pregnancy continued to speed up at an abnormal pace, until the point came where she went from 8 months to 9 months pregnant in merely two days. It was on September 14th, 2007, that she gave birth to a baby girl within the medical facilities of her and Thyra's lair, and with Thyra's aid of course. The two agreed that if the child was a girl, Thyra would be the one to name it, and thus she chose the name Appolonia. After a few days of recuperations from the ordeal, Unchainer is nearly back to her former physical shape, ready to continue her old ways, along with raising her little girl with Thyra.

[edit] The Devil's Dagger

Unchainer on Archdevil's Island
Unchainer on Archdevil's Island

In her ongoing search for magical artifacts, Unchainer found out about an ancient Egyptian dagger, once believed to have belonged to a dark cult long ago. The story went as so:

There were whispers that this dagger was infused with the darkest of magic, its true purpose being an enhancer. Whomever wielded the dagger would find their own dark magic enhanced two-fold. The dagger passed from person to person, sometimes being merely a decoration in a home, other times being the key artifact to enhance some person's power to cause destruction.

The dagger eventually found itself over in the new world, America. The numerous owners it had there are not recorded, however at one point it fell into the hands of a Mexican deserter after the failed attempt to retake Texas. The dagger then slowly moved southwards, out of Mexico and into South America. The last piece of actual documentation was found in the diary of a man who lived on Archdevil's Island, off the coast of South America. He wrote that in order to protect it, he would bring it to the ancient ruins on the island and leave it as deep as possible, in the hopes that no one would discover the cursed artifact.

Unchainer, however, discovered it, through a mistake from the Circle of Thorns. One of their lower minions had papers on them showing the location of the dagger, as well as what it could do. Seeing the chance to increase her powers, Unchainer made her move.

Vidunder, someone who Unchainer knew had issues with a hidden personality, was the perfect choice for a person to use. She could have, of course, found anyone else with ease but it would be much more fun for her to stir trouble with the Aces. Under the pretense of a, "you help me, I help you" deal, Unchainer enlisted Vidunder's aid, so long as in return Rose would seal Vidunder's other side. The mercenary Lunar Wolf was hired as well to be their guide to the ruins in Devil's Island.

Unchainer and Vidunder arrived to the island and were led by Lunar Wolf to the ruins, where the Circle of Thorn were currently exploring. The three fought off the Circle and went inside, where Lunar Wolf left, under the pretense that he was not being paid for anything more than being a guide. Unchainer and Vidunder went deep inside of the ruins until they found the dagger, being guarded by a large, animated totem. The two defeated the great guardian, and the "Devil's Dagger" was acquired by Unchainer. They returned to the Isles, where Rose sealed Vidunder's other side, as promised.

With her ancient dagger and the Devil's dagger, Unchainer's decaying powers reached a new height. She was now able to twist them in such a way that she could slowly regenerate her own wounds. With practice, she would be able to do it faster and on larger wounds. However, she was still no fighter, and it would be best to avoid any hand to hand combat. Unchainer needed to find yet another artifact, one that would provide her with the cover to easily rip someone's spine out with her new-found daggers...

This was soon found when she heard a museum in Paragon was holding an ancient chain, known to make the wearer invisible. Seeing the opportunity was a foot, Unchainer made a plan to find out how exactly to get this chain. The plan came in the form of a young heroine who Unchainer ran into during a previous heist. Unchainer discovered the heroine's father was missing and crafted a story involving knowledge of his location. The two struck up a deal. Unchainer secretly sent two of the Thorns of Rose to rob the museum. The heroine would stop these two, not knowing they were part of Unchainer's gang, and in return would simply bring Unchainer the chain. The plan worked out perfectly, though Unchainer never did go through on her part of the bargain to reveal where the young girl's father was.

[edit] The Dagger of Destiny

It all began with a small job from Unchained Melodie. She wanted Rose to unchain Junior's hidden personality. The exchange would be that Melodie was to give Rose a tiara from a local museum that could give the wearer control over ice.

When the day finally came, Unchainer easily performed her role. However, Junior's unhinged personality was much more crude than his normal self. While Rose was besides him, the man dared to sneak a grope in of Unchainer's breasts. As some would say, it was on after that. Unchainer sealed his personality and watched Melodie and Junior leave, furious at what occurred. Nebel Sirene remained behind, and the two began to talk, Unchainer venting her frustration to the girl. As the conversation went on, the two struck up a deal. Unchainer wished to inflict a great deal of pain upon Junior; of course she could have easily attempted to kill him, but Unchainer wanted his pain to be as gruesome and twisted as possible. Nebel Sirene agreed to help find Junior's weakness, only if Unchainer retrieved an old nazi artifact that is told to control sound. With that little information, Unchainer set off on her quest.

With no knowledge at all about the artifact, Unchainer turned to Shade Wield to find out who might be in possession of the artifact. The reliable man came through after a few days, informing Unchainer that Irmine Tocharen was in possession of the artifact required. Unchainer didn't have a terribly good history with Irmine, having not appreciated the woman's manners, but she forced herself to enter into a conversation with Irmine. Unchainer discovered this artifact was quite rare, known as "The Statue of Janus". Irmine did possess it, but was unwillingly to part with it for free. The two came to a deal that Unchainer would find the rare "Tears of Aphrodite" for Irmine. The two shook on it, with Irmine nearly crushing Unchainer's hand in her grasp.

Unchainer discovered with some research (involving some painful reading) that the Tears were last seen somewhere in the Middle East in a warlord's treasure chamber. Not willing to travel all that way, Unchainer fashioned a make-shift necklace to give to Irmine instead, placing a crystal she retrieved a while back within it. This crystal causes the bearer to switch bodies with whomever touches them for twenty minutes. Unchainer prayed that she would be there when Irmine used it. In order to prove that she went to the Middle East to retrieve it, Unchainer willingly scarred her body with her own daggers, confident she would be able to regenerate it in a short amount of time if needed. Unfortunately, Unchainer did not see Irmine the next day, making her self-mutilation pointless.

After a few weeks, Unchainer had yet to see Irmine, when suddenly a realization came to her. Nebel had no idea what the artifact looked like. Unchainer created a make-shift statue, making it look demonic, to pass off as Nebel's artifact. The time came for the two to hand off what they had found. Nebel, however, was unable to find Junior's weakness. Feigning anger, Unchainer demanded compensation if she was going to hand over the "artifact" to Nebel. The two debated for quite some time, before they came to a resolution. The Dagger of Destiny.

The Dagger of Destiny was something Unchainer always wanted, but could never find. It was rumored that the dagger gave its bearer the powers of whomevers blood touched it. The weapon would be a source of unlimited power. Unchainer made a new deal with Nebel: find the Dagger of Destiny, and Unchainer would hand over her artifact. Nebel agreed instantly, and since then has been on the prowl for the dagger. Unchainer has been waiting anxiously, her dreams filled with the possibilities of all that she could do in the possession of such power...

[edit] The Spider's Rose

After some time being on her own, Unchainer decided it was time she armed herself in every way possible while awaiting the delivery of the Dagger of Destiny. She stalked a particular Night Widow and, in a dark alleyway, killed the Widow and "retrieved" the Widow's equipment, leaving enough evidence to put forth that she was killed by Arachnoids. From then on, Unchainer began to train herself using the Widow's equipment, focusing her mind and body to become more limber and agile. She was intent to become the perfect killer, with a deadly combination of her magic, daggers, claws, and agility.

Unchainer's rouse lasted for some time, until finally Arachnos began to connect the dots together. A team led by an operative named White Widow began to spearhead a movement to end Unchainer's life. However, all such attempts were met with failure; every single assassin was decayed to nothingness, leaving Unchainer with barely a scratch. Her decay powers were at an all time high, and with her growing agility and speed Unchainer became much more of a force to be reckoned with.

That is, until Arachnos scientists created what they called the, "Spirit Box" (unimaginative as they all are). They explained to the White Widow that the box had the power to absorb Unchainer's curse, leaving her essentially powerless. However it would require Unchainer to be in a weakened physical state to work properly. The White Widow took the box and guaranteed the scientists that it would be done.

Enter Unchainer's recent nemesis, Miss Titania. The White Widow met with her and struck a deal; Miss Titania would defeat Unchainer in battle, as the woman had much resistance against her decaying powers, and then use the box to end Unchainer's crime spree, though there would be a small chance the box would kill Unchainer. Miss Titania reluctantly accepted and called Unchainer out to one last final battle on an old oil dock located in the Atlantic. Unchainer arrived, and the two fought bitterly, though in the end Miss Titania gained the upperhand, tossing Unchainer down the stairs of the dock. Miss Titania went to activate the box, but at the last moment had a change of heart, fearful that she would kill Unchainer. At that moment the White Widow sprung and activated the box herself. Deadly Elegance attempted to intervene, but was too late.

The Spirit Box absorbed all of Unchainer's soul, leaving behind a hallow body which crumbled into dust. The White Widow activated the powers in the box, which split Unchainer's soul in two; one part for the Curse, the other Rose's soul. The box then reanimated the crumpled dust of Unchainer's body, molding her back to life, though without her chains or rune mark. Having her powers sapped, Unchainer's black hair turned to a stark white. The White Widow departed, stating she would deal with Rose soon.

Now, Arachnos currently holds Unchainer's curse for ransom. Unchainer, now merely Rose, has been forced into their services under the bargain that once she has done enough for Arachnos, she will be granted her Curse again. Unknown to Rose however, are the true intentions of the White Widow.

Although...Arachnos should really bear in mind the intentions of Rose, who already is planning her own counter-attack against them, while appeasing whatever "petty" (according to her) tasks they have. She now fervently seeks the Dagger of Destiny, along with any villains for her upcoming plans. For now, she operates under the codename Spider's Rose.

[edit] Good Mourning Grandville

Rose's plans soon came to light. She had gathered numerous villains to assault Grandville. On that fateful morning, Radio Free Opportunity broadcast to all of the Islanders the planned assault, somewhat ruining Rose's hope of an ambush. It mattered little however; as soon as she reached the beaches of Grandville, she sprang into action, summoning the powerful Rakescar to attack. She and Rakescar made their way through the main ramp of Grandville, until Rose was powerful thrown into the main square by the brute. There, she fought off several Arachnos soldiers with the help of Ferocious Ferret. Silver Mantis and her crew of soldiers ambushed Rose, who quickly ran away. Silver Mantis managed to injure Rose, causing her to fall into the undertunnels of Grandville, though some unknown interlopers confused Silver Mantis, keeping her off of Rose.

Ferocious Ferret and Rose reunited briefly in the undertunnels; Rose took a vent into the main Grandville tower, while Ferret's path took her somewhere else. Soon enough, Rose was on the 13th floor and came face to face with The White Widow. The two began a vicious battle which went out into the Tangle of Grandville. Despite her impressive physical abilities, Rose was severly beaten by The White Widow. In a last ditch effort, Rose focused all of her strength into two precise strikes, hitting the main artery to the Widow's heart, the other puncturing her lung. Much to Rose's dismay, the White Widow took out the box containing her curse and absorbed it for herself. T

The Curse took over the Widow's body and began to exact its unholy vengeance against Rose for the years she had imprisoned it. Already beaten badly, Rose was unable to fight back as her own powers were unleashed on her. It was only through the intervention of Game Hunter that Rose survived. While Game Hunter and her Curse fought, Rose retrieved the Dagger of Destiny and waited for her moment to come. Sure enough, Game Hunter landed with a thud near Rose after an EMP pulse shut down his systems. The Curse landed beside him to finish the man off, but Rose pounced forward, stabbing the Curse in the back. The dagger absorbed the Curse's power to unchain a person. Rose used her regained chaining powers to break the bonds around the White Widow that kept the Curse within her, then forcefully absorbed the Curse once more.

With her life slowly returning to her, Rose used her dagger to rip The White Widow's heart from her chest, tossing it down into the main square of Grandville. Her last act in the battle would be activating the signal for her Coralax pet, Shaza, to summon Rakescar into the depths of the Atlantic Ocean, thus ending the battle in Grandville. Rose would slink off to her home in Port Oakes to recover from her harsh wounds.

A day later, Rose received a letter. It was from Lord Recluse himself. Unlike many other villains, Rose was actually never considered a "destined one" by Arachnos, merely another villain trying to prove themselves. Considering this, Rose was seen as lower than the normal Destined Ones in the eyes of Arachnos. In his letter, Lord Recluse recognized Rose's prowress to take such a stand, declaring that he was proud Arachnos was able to produce such a fine, powerful villain. Recluse went on to further say it was only through Arachnos enslaving her that her true potential could have been realized. The letter ended with Recluse promising Arachnos would no more try to force Unchainer into their services, unless she dared to strike at them again. His last command to Unchainer in the letter was to go out and show the world her true terror. Rose keeps this letter hidden in her safe as a memento of the tough trial she overcame, and a reminder for what is in store for her future.

[edit] The Power of Rularuu

After things had calmed from the battle in Grandville, Rose moved forward with the next part of her plan of ultimate power. With the Dagger of Destiny in her possession, it would only be a short amount of time until she would attain this power. Rose would have to choose her first move carefully though; as one who constantly seeks power, she knew that once the sniff of "ultimate power" was upon her, there would be others who would try to take it away. After weighing her options, Rose's curiosity was raised when she heard mention of "Rularuu", whispers of a being of immense power. She had to know more, and so Rose began her investigating, tracking down any and all sources of information regarding Rularuu and the Shadow Shard.

Information would be found in the Midnight Squad's headquarters, along with several Longbow bases that had been on excursions into the Shard. What Rose found would literally blow her mind. Descriptions of a being, "Rularuu the Ravager", a creature powerful enough to absorb entire dimensions and was forced into another dimension called "The Shadow Shard" by the Midnight Squad in the late 60's. This made Rose wish she was around in Paragon during the 60's. Nonetheless, Rose knew that she had to track down this Rularuu the Ravager. If the dagger of destiny was coated in his blood, she would be able to absorb all of Rularuu's power; even if it was for merely an hour, she would be able to rain destruction and chaos upon a world that deserved it so badly.

Rose called upon one of her old contacts in Arachnos, Technician Naylor, to help her gain access to the Shadow Shard. She would also enlist the help of Deadly Elegance, a close friend to the public eye. The two would enter the Shadow Shard and make their way towards the Storm Palace, where Rose believed Rularuu the Ravager to be imprisoned. It took them several hours to simply reach the Storm Palace, and the two were undaunted when they saw it covered in Soldiers of Rularuu. As they flew closer, the two were ambushed by a squad of Watcher's. They fought fiercely, but the Watcher's slowly pushed the two closer to the Storm Palace's outer hull. From there, several brutes leapt up to try and pull Rose down. In a moment of self-sacrifice, Deadly Elegance would throw Rose up into the air, causing the brutes to bring Elegance down instead.

Surprised and somewhat touched (as much as she can be) by the sacrifice, Rose decided to fly down and try to save Deadly Elegance. Perhaps because of how closely similar the two were, or because Rose didn't want to owe this woman her life. No one truly knows for sure. Rose landed on the the hull and began to fight off the brutes, until one particularly large brute, an Honored Brute, grabbed Elegance and began to squeeze the life out of her. Rose leaped over onto the monster's back and sank her two daggers into its back; she went to remove them, but was quickly tossed aside by the powerful brute. In a desperate move, Rose ran forward and stabbed the Dagger of Destiny into the brute's crystal. At this moment, all of the brutes around them froze, as Rose's mind was blasted with the brute's memories, of its creation, its life, and of the ultimate power of Rularuu. A powerful blast of energy sent her flying onto her back, while the brute also dropped Elegance down to the floor.

The entire brute's body began to glow, as the three daggers Rose had, The Pharoah's Dagger, The Devil's Dagger, and The Dagger of Destiny all were absorbed into the brute. Rose let out a scream of fury as she ran forward, pummelling the glowing brute's torso with her decayed fist, until another burst of power sent her flying backwards. The brute's body split in two and collapsed to the ground, then slowly shrunk and shifted form, until it formed two blades, engraved with runes in the language of Rularuu, the hilts of each sword containing the eye of the Honored Brute. The hordes of Rularuu remained frozen; Rose flung Deadly Elegance over her shoulder, retrieved her swords, and flew away from the Storm Palace.

The Dagger of Destiny was gone, but Rose was intent on finding out what kind of power was contained within these two new swords.

[edit] Deadly Elegance

As of late, rumors have been going around regarding a certain partnership between Unchainer and Deadly Elegance. While in public Unchainer will not show any sort of special treatment towards the woman, most can guess that there's something going on given Elegance's treatment towards Unchainer, mainly verbal (after many mumbling and mutterings from Unchainer at various PDA's). As well, the two seem to be a formidable pair when it comes to fighting together.

Given her somewhat odd fondness for children (odd given the fact that she is a psychopathic killer) she has agreed to help Elegance through her pregnancy, most likely in order to train more children to be killers. Maybe even eventually form a little army of her own.

Regardless, whenever the two are together in public, people can see Unchainer constantly rebuking any sort of attempts at affection that are doled out by Elegance in public. However, she has proven very useful so far in aiding Unchainer in her various attempts at power, including being a sort of "safety net" when things go wrong, which includes her little run in with Hamidon.

[edit] The Quest For Power

Rose's influence and power have grown greatly in the past few months, precisely after her encounter with the Rularuu in the Shadow Shard. Whatever Rose saw in her brief vision has caused her to search out and gather as much power as possible. She has pursued many leads in order to gather as much power as possible. Some have led to dead ends or Rose's near death. However, all of them have honed and strengthened Rose's power. Her decay manipulation has reached an all-time high, allowing her to use it more precisely. There are many new abilities that Rose has that cannot be covered, but one scheme in particular stands out, involving the Hamidon.

[b] Harvesting the Hamidon [/b]

After obtaining her Rularuu blades, Rose was intent on somehow harvesting part of Hamidon's power. She believed that if she could only tap into a fraction of his massive power she would be able to level massive levels of the earth, or even command her own legion of Devouring Earth. Rose's plan was simple; use her various resources to sneak into Hamidon's dwelling in Paragon City, prove her worth with her Rularuu blades, then steal part of his essence. Rose would then figure out how to merge part of the Hamidon with her own being, thus increasing her own power ten-fold.

Part of the plan worked. Rose managed to get all the way to Hamidon, and even earn a brief moment where he did not attack her. The Hamidon acknowledged Rose's power, then bid her to put her hand closer to take part of his essence. Feeling her victory at hand, Rose did so, only to have her arm violently torn off, then swallowed into the Hamidon. The massive plasmid spat the arm back out, allowing Rose to escape. She would retreat back to the Widow's Web, where her arm was re-attached by Deadly Elegance and some others from the group.

Not one to take defeat so easily, Rose decided that if she could not harness the Hamidon's power, she would be a thorn in his side. For two weeks Rose planned, though in this time she had begun acting more feral. There were even moments where she could be caught staring into a patch of grass in an almost awe-like fashion. The cause of all this was revealed in her second trip back to Eden; Rose had become infected with the Will of the Earth, and was now slowly succumbing to the control of Hamidon.

The members of the Widow's Web ensured that this was not to come, and quickly pulled Rose out from Eden in order to run various tests. After nearly a day's worth of research, it was determined that the infection could still be fought, specifically with the aid of Rose's decay powers. In the end of it all, Rose managed to eliminate most of the virus from her system, though the entire experience has left her unwilling to deal with the Hamidon ever again.

[edit] The Villainous List

(This is an ongoing story to be filled in!)

It all began on a Sunday afternoon. Two villains, one known for their fire manipulation, the other for shape-shifting, came shambling in to their lairs. Their small group of lackeys rushed forward to help the two, questioning what happened. They explained that they were invited by the villain, Unchainer, to defeat the heroine Overdrive. When the two arrived at the rendezvous point, they were ambushed by Longbow. Unchainer arrived to help them defeat the squad; however, upon their defeat, she promptly turned and began to attack the two villains. Weakened already from their attack with Longbow, they could not resist Unchainer's power. The two lay prone, waiting for Unchainer to deliver one of her signature, brutal deathblows. Instead, she took a small crystal out from her belt and placed it in between the two. They felt a strange sensation in their chests, as the crystal began to absorb their powers. In less than three minutes, it was done. All of their superpowers were absorbed into the crystal. Unchainer picked up the artifact, smiled politely to the two, then shot off into the air.

After the lackeys heard this, they quickly turned on their former masters, beating them to a pulp, then tossing them out into the streets.
