Gained the rank of an Inquisitor by his third month within the Rogue Knights. His endeavors to boost the activity of the Rogue Knights is highly dubious, specifically attacking heroes to defect from Paragon City to the Rogue Isles. No known heroes have taken the offer.

Self reserved and calm despite his callous exterior. He respects those who he considers a worthy adversary. If you are of no value in his eyes he will likely ignore you even if attacked. If pestered enough he will be angered with jarring effect going into a berserker type state. Still many things are new to him in Paragon Earth, so many references that one would know goes over his knowledge base. Works alone on most occasions, unless it requires assistance.

Xyor Pyrefist was a monster of a creature, at least by human standards, not so much by dragon standards. His father a leader of the Pyrefist clan known as Zyraith, openly helped the Lydenvale Kingdom because they wanted the protection of the clan to keep any unwanted guest away from their kingdom. Zyraith also got himself involved with a noble woman by the name Myladia. We will just leave it at that. For Myladia, she has been long dead and Zyraith is still shackled somewhere in the far reaches of the Pyrefist lands for the exiled. And we now have a great champion in the pit at the Lydenvale Arena. Over seven feet and weighing over a half a ton he was a muscularly build but retained a lean aspect about him. His face a testament to dragon's, a strong face with a hefty maw that could crush a mans arm. Large battered wings from the many years of battles in the arena, his arms wrapped in rough brown and blood stained linens with small spiked bucklers covering his elbows. His pants are made of heavy leather using the fallen warriors belts to tie down his pants tightly to his body. He has bore the test of time well, never being defeated in battle for nearly three quarters of a century.

The air was thinker than the usual dank and mold that permeated the air in his cell. He started my day as always looking over my various weapons he had constructed or taken from the fallen in the arena. "What should I use today," Xyor said to himself. "Pike? Flail? Or studded mace? No. I'll give them a show today and use my bare hands, they enjoy that more." He readies himself for the on coming battle.

The usual preceding of announcing each combatant goes without a hitch and the arena battle commences. As Xyor and the knight circle trying to size each other up. The knight makes the first move with a charging slash aiming for Xyor's shoulder. Xyor blocks the blade with his wrapped forearms cutting some of the wrapping lose. The knight draws back to attempt another attack. Xyor grabs the hilt of the knights sword and hold his arm in place with Xyor countering with his right fist igniting to flames in mid punch crushing in the knight's helm singeing his cheek with white hot metal. This was going to be an easy win for Xyor, but everything changed when a bright golden orb appears amidst the arena battlefield. Strange human shaped beings in long robes with brightly colored beavers covering their eyes came pouring through the orb firing of bolts of ice and snow in their hand held staffs. They turn their attention to our champion and try to tackle him down with their magic. Xyor knew what to do for himself. Fight his was through the mountains of Ice men attempting to apprehend him. A brave and noble battle he fought, but there were too many men. To our shock and horror our champion was subdued into an encasing of ice and haul through the golden orb to never bee seen from since this day. It has been a decade since I last saw our champion Xyor Pyrefist, and only the gods knows if he is to return to his home.

With Xyor in Crey's "possession" it was no easy feat to keep him restrained, dazed and confused from his ordeals both there and now here, he eventually broke out and started rampaging through parts of Paragon City before being subdued by the Freedom Phalanx.

"Hey, I thought dragons were mythological creatures," Positron noted with the report of a dragon-esce ceature running rampant through Paragon City.

"Well then, can you look up any files that might lead us to this new threat," Statesman said.

"Probably."

"While we wait, I'll contact the Vindicators to deal with him once we get more information on it."

"Will Do," Ms. Liberty said over the CommLink.

"Uhh... guys." The CommLink clicks back on. "You might want to get out here as soon as possible. He's making short work of us already," Mynx said heaving, "... and I thought Countess Crey was a bitch."

"Positron, you heard her."

"I know. It's still searching. Grab everyone else and I'll join once I have something, okay?"

"Alright, but it better be soon."

"Got it, finally. He's the file, it's from Crey Industries. How the hell they got a hold of a portal is beyond me, but here goes:

A possible new alternate dimension outside of the known Paragon Earth and Praetorian Earth, only mentioned as the portal named x9032. It is uncertain as to what would be his native equal in Paragon or Praetorian.

Crey's attempt to "tame" a half-breed dragon from the x9032 portal. Code name Pit Dragon, Xyor Pyrefist was the reigning pit arena champion of the Lydenvale kingdom.

He was an anomoly, since dragons and humans are an interspecies in his dimension allowing mating between the two races. Though looked down upon. His mother Myladia, a human, had grown close friends to the Pyrefist dragon clan. She had fallen in love with Zyraith Pyrefist and had a child. Enraged by their act the elders of the Pyrefist clan condemned Zyraith to the dungeons until his last breathe and sent Myladia back to Lydenvale. When word came she was forever locked away never to see her husband or son again.

The Pyrefist clan felt that Xyor's parents sin did not mean he too should die, but to test his ability as a half-breed. Sending him to Lydenvale to participate in their arena battles to prove his worth. Treated more like an animal that human or dragon. Locked away within the arena wall he became a master of the pit. The only he managed to keep his "humanity/dragonhood" by the many fights against knights wanting a crack at him in the arena, learning how they fought told him how they lived. Having no one beat him is 75 years, until falling hands to Crey's invasion of his realm during a pit fight. It is unknown the whereabouts of his opponent."

"You've got to be kidding me," Manticore said half-joking half-serious.

"Apparently not. So we've got our hands full. Be there in a minute."

Contained in the far lower reaches of Zigurski Prison until Arachnos' attack on it.

"Freedom Phalanx," Pit Dragon said winded. "You will pay dearly for this."

"I'm sure I will, since I'm a taxpayer that funds Zigurski," Manticore said coyly.

"Enough Manticore. Our job here is done," Statesman said.

I don't think I've ever seen a dungeon quite like this. It is risen like a castle surrounded by a square moat, but there are troughs upon troughs of humans with orange garbs. No vices, racks, or iron maidens seen. Torture does not seem to exist here. Reinforced metal that covers my maw and flame resistant shackles; they must be accustom to me somehow or others that are like me.

[edit] 2000 - Arachnos Breakout 2005

I haven't see the light of day for nearly five years. A small amount of time for me, but was quite enjoyable in the heat of battle.

Xyor pondered to himself. Something was off that day. By the time Xyor said, "What's that smell?" Arachnos steamed into strategic holes blasted through the prison walls. An Arachnos agent with a buzz saw-like apparatus attempted to try and free Xyor of his shackles, but not knowing what the result would be Xyor quickly took his shackled hands and and double fisted the agent into the wall. Hearing the ruckus another agents appears saying, "Calm down, we're here to get you out of this place by the request of our leader Lord Recluse."

"Then I apologies for my actions."

"No need for one, just hurry up and get to the Arachnos Fliers before more Longbow or even worse Freedom Phalanx show up. Now, go!"

Freedom Phalanx, you will be next.

Xyor Pyrefist's rise in power didn't go unnoticed by Longbow for very long. Borrowed from the Crey filed code naming him Pit Dragon, Longbow had use Wyvren as a freelance front in the Rogues Isle to keep tabs on various villains. Pit Dragon appeared back into Longbow's radar after Pit Dragon's assault on a Wyvren base with their villain hit list.

Joins forces with the Rogue Knights, though not in total agreement with their motto, he uses it as a tool for his personal gain to return the favor against the Freedom Phalanx and strengthen the Rogues Knights into a more fearsome lot.

[edit] Warburg, Divided We Brawl

This was less of an assault and more of a civil war. After Emperor Xanatos became obsessed with the idea of stealing the Warburg Nuke and dropping it on Paragon City, the group broke into three factions; those following Emperor Xanatos, a group under Ordre who planned to gather the forces of Marshall Blitz and his Rogue Arachnos faction for another attack on Paragon City, and Mr. Mud and Mindswipe who opposed both of them and sought to gain the alleigance of the heroes of Paragon City in order to stop them.

Word was out that The Sadistic Seven had been experiencing internal turmoil. Xyor Pyrefist pondered the idea. "Perhaps."

"So there is a fracture in their ranks?" Pit Dragon said in a solemn tone. "This can ultimately turn into my favor. Lord Grae still doesn't expect a thing. It's prime time I start recruiting for my coup of the Rogue Knights. Getting a chance to contact the Paragonian Knights, since I already know they hate him. His time is coming to an end."

Pit Dragon grabs his commlink making a call through the coalition channel to the Rogue Gallery base. "Mindswipe, Mr. Mud. If you're willing to help me I'll help you in this little scheme of yours. It's high time that people know who Xyor Pyrefist is."

The Civil War took place on July 22nd and was all out chaos. Heroes fought heroes in the confusion, just as villains fought villains. Mr. Mud and Mindswipe found the alleigance of Pit Dragon, Bloodywedd, Certifiable and Nuclear Dragon for their main team, as well as fighting alongside (and against) various hero groups including The Frontline during the battle.

Eventually, Emperor Xanatos' forces were pushed back into the Rogue Isles, and Ordre's forces were beaten back to the edge of Warburg where they too were forced to retreat. Upon arriving back in the Rogue Isles all of the group went their own ways and back to their personal agendas. The Sadistic Seven were no more.

"The file is only video, no voice. The mic on the camera must've shorted out by all of the missiles being launched," a Longbow agent said, "so I have no idea what was said during the fight. All I can tell is that Pit Dragon from the villain group the Rogue Knights and Foxy Ferret from the Grae Academy are conversing for some reason that leads them into a prolonged fight at the Warburg statue. The important part of this is what they're saying, but I don't have a clue how to lip read from this distance on the surveillance camera. This is useless."

"Any information is useful. Don't forget that." the Longbow Officer said to the agent, "I'm sure we'll figure out what's going on, but it's best we give this to the Paragonian Knights. This is their business and someone needs to tell them something is up."

She was the first, though at this time Foxy Ferret only knows that she was give entry way to the Rogue Knights by being defeated by Pit Dragon for her own reasons. He knew the connection, she was from the Grae Academy, the younglings that were under the Paragonian Knights tutelage. This was the perfect beginning, bringing a mole into the Rogues Knights could benefit into Xyor's favor.

[edit] The Bargain

Luficia wasn't easy to track down, but a chanced visit to the Pocket D changed that. Pit Dragon managed to feel her blade when The Sadistic Seven dissolved under the Civil War in Warburg and he knew she could be of service if she accepted. The convincing wasn't easy, though Pit Dragon allowed her to walk away from his offer to imbue her sword with one of his dragon scales. She didn't have to involve herself into his plan so he let her think about it for a few days. Luficia finally agreed to help his cause and gave him her sword minus Seiken though, she removed the crystal that allows him to speak to others.

"I guess it's time to get to work," as Xyor stares at the sword laying on the forge.

Pit Dragon turns off the monitor after watching Slappyhappy on the news saying out loud, "So much for getting his help, at least for now, and who the hell is this Kain character?"

Pit Dragon received a message on his CommLink, it reads, "We have a problem. Ferret."

Pit Dragon asks, "What is it?"

Foxy Ferret says frantically, "I'm being hunted by bounty hunters."

Pit Dragon replies, "Bounty hunters?"

"Yes, President SK aka Kain has hired people to kill me."

"So he doesn't want to do his own dirty work..."

"No and i want to know why."

"Well, where are they?"

"He left already, he was drunk and spilled it all, Soul Theft. I want to know why my death is important... I think it's cause I am close to unveiling his plans with the Havoks... I'm trying to get them out and open their eyes."

"Can't say I've heard of him."

"Dragon I don't know what to do... to the red side of the D."

"So why don't you just stay in the Isles for a while?"

"I think I might have to. I'll have to let Liquidus know I am going to be gone for a few days"

"What is so important about this Liquidus?"

"He's my Super Group leader."

"So finally left the Academy?"

"Yes, and my trainer in the ways of military training in infiltration. There is way too much to do to get those involved."

"Perhaps."

"I've been watching Kain, the one who wants me dead, and he's go the Havoks on his side....why I do not know but I fear they are in danger. So I have been tryig to gather anything on Kain. I'm getting the Havoks out of there."

"So would that explain the strange happening to Slaphappy, did a few jobs with him?"

"Yes. He knows a lot about Kain. I asked him to do some research and find things out. This new knowledge worries me cause Suryal is joining Kain to play double agent."

"This is getting bad, sure Suryal's going to be fine?"

"I do not know. All I know is I'll be there watching him every second if I have to."

"As much as I'd say your right, I disagree, watch yourself foremost."

Pit Dragon was influenced by my younger years of being slightly obsessed with the mythology of the dragon. Though not directly related to any of the known types of dragon from Asian lore, but more medieval times, the many years of playing Magic: the Gathering, and a Second Edition Dungeons & Dragons Bestiary that was given to me.

I wanted to avoid the whole, "Oh, it's just another character that has a name of a dragon, but doesn't look like a dragon." The original reptilian head was a disappointment, so I actually waited on making this character until the monstrous heads had a "reptilian" style head that held more true, so correspond with the skin and leg options. Hence my late arrival to Virtue server. Granted I did not pull the full on reptilian outfit just for the fact of he wouldn't look gritty enough to be a pit fighter. And I didn't want him to look like a red Fin Fang Foom.

I've finally started to flesh out more of his story since his level is getting to the point where he starting to get noticed. If you've been around me enough, you may have heard me refer to Pit Dragon as a neutral chaotic, a term from D&D, is that he has no particular good or evil sides about him, he's just a loose cannon unbound by any "laws" though I have instilled a small amount of neutral lawful for RP purposes. If Pit Dragon had a voice, I consider Dinobot from the Beast Wars Transformer series by voice actor Scott McNeil.
