Paregrine was born Alexa Veris, 3rd child of Karl and Tanya Veris. When she was born, her sister was preparing to head to Japan to begin her training. Alexa's childhood was for the most part normal, except for the odd fact that she could lift more and was harder to hurt than most of the kids at school.

At age 15 she began sophomore year at Baumton South HS, Alexa was too though for cheer leading. She tried out for and made the football team for the Baumton south Peregrines. by mid-April she was one of the best players on the team. Then in the beginning of May the Rikti attacked. Her high school was turned to rubble trapping many students under tons of debris. Trapped under the west wing of the school with several other students, all she could hear were the sounds of the battle raging above. After the battle, When the rikti mother ship crashes several miles away the shocks from that impact were enough to loosen the debris keeping them from escaping, she then used the strength she had to push the rubble away. When all was safe she rushes to her home only to find that one of the skyscrapers had crushed her home killing both her parents.

A few months after the war, her sister Anya returned from the far east, and began protecting paragon. Alexa still had school to finish but her sister couldn't just ignore her powers. as her learning continued Anya began to train Alexa to be a hero and help rebuild the city.

Now that she graduated she has filled out her Hero License and begun to protect the city starting with atlas park. Using the name of her Baumton football team the Peregrines she has become Paregrine.
