Nyak is a member of The Youth League. He is also a proud operative of Ghost Hound.

When I was first creating Nyak. I honestly did not plan him to be a jester. I wanted him to be cool, calm, and serious. But, I couldn't do that, because I am a pest at my school XD. So, I took some ideas from different characters. Now, I learned that every story should have a hero, a person who is distressed, a rebel, and a jester. I thought of what Nyak should be. There were to many rebels and heroes. And I didn't want to be a person in distress. Soooo, I chose the jester. I took a few characteristics of other characters to form the Nyak you wish to have never known and hate, today. I took ideas of Beast Boy from the Teen Titans and Johnny Turbo.

A nyak is a giant gaurdian in Laos. The country Laos' main religion is Theravada Buddhism. So, I've been trying to make the hero more realated to the religon. But, seeing how Jake's from German decent, I made the Hunter. The Hunter was made to act as a mentor for Nyak. An example of this is, Bob, from the Dresdin Files. I Shall elaborate no further!

[edit] Personality

Nyak is calm in some occasions. Most of the time, he is energetic. He always says jokes, but no one laughs. If he fails a mission or sees that people have died, he blames it on himself. Nyak can be really slow and dumb at times.

Nyak loves pulling pranks on people. He always does prank calls (Sorry if you were a victim). Nyak is probably now known for putting monsters in the base but, he's not sure yet.

[edit] Rikti Prank

Howling Red was sent by Nyak to kill some Rikti for Nyak's science project. Nyak got the bodies and went to the Youth League's kitchen table to dissect them. However, As he was about to study the "dead" Mentalist, it's eyes opened and looked around the room, it was about to get up but Nyak knocked it out and accidentally threw it in a random room. Later, he found out that the room he threw the Rikti in, was Hot Betty's. The horrific accident, just became a horrific prank. That night, Hot Betty opened her door and the Chief Mentalist attacked her. Luckily, Kid Psyche saved her by defeating the Mentalist. Nyak missed the fight, but he saw all the damage. His unforgettable quote: "Best prank ever..."

Throughout his paranormal experiences, Jake has been always wondering to himself,'Why don't I use magic?' Well, now he can. When Jake worked as an agent for the Legacy Chain, he began learning Light spells. Also, he has stolen a book from the Circle of Thorns. The book contains secrets of the Hellfrosts and ice spells.

To further his paranormal detective work, he has began learning the secrets of the Kujin-Ra and opening up his Chakra seals. So, basically, he's now an alter-ego, mysterious, phenomenal detective-ninja that loves hot chocolate.

Plus, he can turn invisible to sneak past enemies undetected. Yeah.. that's the end of this paragraph. Awesome, huh?

A small black gem that accelerates a person's heart beat and endurance once activated. It activates when saying a special word. The word is very secret.

Bane and Swift are Jake's Impervium swords. Jake used these swords during his first days of fighting crime. They were originally his father's but, when he died, Jake took them out of the case where they were laying and fought with them. Swift is one of his favorite weapons.

[edit] The Hunter

Matt Jaeger, Nyak's father, wielded the Hunter. Now, Jake has it. The Hunter is a family heirloom passed on from generation to generation. The Jaeger's have been secretly in the 'hero' business for hundreds of years now. It is Jake's favorite sword.

The scimitar is made of gold and it's always sharp. Magic runes run on it's sides. There is a myth that the runes are used to banish demons.

A gladius Nyak got from Cimeroran. The sword was said to kill many monsters.

While in Croatoa, he was sent to fight some Red Caps. While fighting, he found out that the Red Cap daggers hurt like hell. So, he stole a dagger from a helpless garden gnome. He uses Sting as a blocking weapon, while Gorgon makes the damage.

Jake took a Thorn Blade from the Circle of Thorns. He uses it while demon hunting.

A sword made of meteorite. Abyss is heavy and damaging sword. Jake made the blade himself--Well with the help of the Legacy Chain.

These are plasma blades from Vanguard. Jake uses these while fighting the Rikti.

Seijaku (Meaning Silent in Japanese) is a sharp edged katana. It is Nyak's weapon of choice while in the Rouge Isles.

Once, Odin owned this sword. Then, it was Sigmund. After his death, the legend, Sigurd weilded the blade. Now, a hero named Jake Jaeger is the current owner of the blade. He found it on a mountain in Norway. He uses the Gram on his foes with honor.

[edit] Axel Jaeger

Jake's grandfather, Axel Jaeger, was a middle-class child that was born in Germany. Axel's father (Jake's great-great-grandpa) studied ancient magics. That got Axel into archeology and demonology. It would be a new tradition in the Jaeger family. There was a golden sword, called the Hunter in the basement. His father wouldn't let him go near it though. But, when his father would be out of the house, Axel broke the rules. He would then meet a spirit named, Hunter. Axel's father also enlisted in the 5th Column during World War Two, but, he did not like the dictator in Germany, so, he joined a secret resistance.

Later, Axel's father would kill himself and Axel would have to live out on his own. The war ended and Axel Jaeger moved to America, where he could start a new life. In Paragon City, Hunter gave Axel the title, Nyak, after training him sword fighting techniques. Axel Jaeger would start a new life. He would begin to be a hero of Paragon City.

Throughout the years, Axel would fight along side other heroes to battle the Soviet Union when the Cold War took affect. It's said that he became a member of the Midnight Squad.

Axel married a woman named Jody Freeman and raised a son named Matt Jaeger. When Nyak I retired, he passed the Hunter and the title of the Nyak to Matt.

Now, he owns a small company named Jaeger Incorporated to help the heroes of Paragon City.

[edit] Matt Jaeger

Matt Jaeger became the second Nyak. Reporters say that he was the most respected. His heroing started at a young age. Axel invited Matt into the Midnighter's club at a young age. There, he worked on demonology and learned various protection spells.

When he turned eighteen, he registered to become a hero. Right after he was listed, he rushed out to fight the war on drugs. A few years after, he married a retired heroine named Mary Jaeger. They had a baby boy and named him Jake. Matt raised Jake to be a powerful swordsman and hero. They were very close.

On May 24th, 2002, Rikti attacked Paragon City. The second Nyak rushed into the fight that would be known as, The Rikti War. He joined the Midnighters and together they fought off the invaders. Of all those Midnighter members, few survived. Including Matt. After the war, he returned to his family and promised Jake that he would never die.

Years after the war, Matt kept saving lives. Then, the Second Rikti War broke out. Matt traveled all over the world to repel the Rikti. Jake idolized his father's work. The invasion was a failure and heroes returned to their lives. A couple months passed, and Arachnos temporarly ran through the gates of Siren's Call. Matt rushed to fight the spiders.

[edit] Becoming a Hero

Matt Jaeger was once the hero, Nyak. On Jake's birthday, Matt had to leave because an Arachnos army attacked Steel Canyon.

Jake's father taught Jake every skill he knew. They would run obstacle courses, duel each other, use simulators, ect. His father promised Jake that they could be a team duo when Jake reached 18.

[edit] The Second Nyak's Fate

It was Jake's 17th birthday. His father had to leave because of an Arachnos invasion led by a Huntsman named, Operative Mars, he also had the mad scientist, Dr. Psyk, with him. Operative Mars led Wolf Spiders, Arachnobots, and Psyk's very own Spider Droids into battle. Heroes flew into the battle, including Matt Jaeger. Dr. Psyk had a very special robot with him, the Prey Hunter. It was the size of two Babbages but had more lethal force. Matt jumped on it to destroy the giant robot. Psyk pressed a button on his watch and the Prey Hunter flew to the sky along with Matt. 100 miles up, the Prey Hunter exploded killing Matt. The Freedom Phalanx came back to Steel Canyon to clean up the army. Dr. Psyk escaped using a teleporter. At home, Jake watched the fight on TV. He was stricken seeing his own father killed.

A month after, he decided to run away from home to become a hero like his father. Jake didn't just want to be a hero, he wanted to also avenge his father's death. How? By arresting all of those soldiers who were involved in the small invasion. Jake took Hunter and was now destined to be the Nyak.

[edit] Demon Hunting

Once Nyak received his father's sword, The Hunter, he wanted become an official demon hunter. The Spirit Council were so-so about this because of his reputation of pranking people. The test wasn't actually simple. He had to resist a devil's temptation. When the boy emerged into a strange realm, he found himself confused and wondering where he was, the Hunter glowed rapidly. Flames surrounded the him and the sky was blood red. A serpent slithered toward Nyak. The hero grabbed his sword and a knife; switching to battle mode. As the reptile crawled toward Nyak, it began to morph. The snake slowly grew arms and legs. It's appearance was becoming more humanoid. The beast turned into a woman. "She" flirted with Nyak, while The Hunter radiated dark magic. The weapon warned the teenager and Nyak understood. Nyak growled and swung his sword into the "woman." "She" screamed and disappeared in black smoke. The clouds merged with The Hunter and the sword was no longer holy. He passed the test and he is now a demon hunter. Nyak is still new at this, though, but he tries.

[edit] The Golden Blade

After that test, the Hunter was a cursed sword that fed off the demons. The devil that merged with the sword in the first place, was named Zalorus. Not much is known about this devil, except the fact that he's a total jerk. A couple months had passed and a fellow team member was infected by a virus that effected mutants. Nyak caught the virus and only got the flu. Zalorus (Now the Hunter) took advantage of this situation and possessed the youth. He was stopped by some Youth League members. Ruby Strike, destroyed the Hunter, and Zalorus was no longer heard. Then, Nyak took the fragments of the sword and gave it to an Arachnos Operative. Nyak was tricked and so he sent Ultra Assassin to steal the Hunter from an Arachnos base. Once the desperate hero,Nyak, received the pieces of the Hunter, he gave the cursed shards to MAGI to purify and forge it. The demon slaying sword was back in Nyak's hands.

[edit] Inside the Spider's Web

Nyak wanted to destroy Arachnos and mostly kill Dr. Psyk. He got his chance when a friend gave him a fake ID card. Nyak stole weapon technologies from Crey and became The Demon's Thorn. He advanced quickly in their ranks and became a Destined One. Nyak (Now the Demon's Thorn), had the chance to complete one of his tasks.

In August, Dr. Psyk went rouge. Operative Ion sent Demon's Thorn and five Wolf TacOps. When the Arachnos Flier landed in the doctor's domain, Spider Droids were already on there way to kill the trespassers. The Arachnos squad headed down a dark, rocky tunnel. Black, box-shaped turrets fired at the intruders. One Wolf Spider was down. Demon's Thorn lifted up his shining metal gauntlets and fired immense blue energy. As the turrets fired, five robots walked in. DT threw a grenade and the droids were defeated in an instant. As they ran in the war room, Dr. Psyk with tall young men waited for them. The tall teenagers had long brown hair and armored suits. They looked exactly like Nyak! Dr. Psyk laughed and gloated about his cloning chamber. They fought and fought. Two of the remaining Wolf Spiders secretly set detonator charges and the team escaped the building with Psyk in it. The mad man just laughed as he thought he won the battle. But then, the timer got to zero and his cave exploded. It was another mission accomplished, D.T. thought. And another step closer to the real accomplishment.

In May, Demon's Thorn plotted to kill Recluse, he failed and was captured. He was put in a cell for several weeks until heroes broke into the building. He returned back to Paragon City to become Nyak once again.

[edit] Vanguard: The Test

Once Nyak proved Freedom Corps to be promoted to Security Level thirty-five, He flew to the Vanguard Depot in Founders' Falls. Jake, being his foolish self, eagerly jumped through the portal.

When he came out of the portal, he was amazed. Everything was polished! He talked to Lavantera and did her tasks. Her sister, told him to fight ten Rikti. Nyak was so happy that he could finally help out. But, as he went through the green pillar, terror struck him. The ruins, the weapons, the death. It wasn't a walk in the park like the city. It was a war between life and death. Jake ran toward Rikti. The invaders were attacking the base defenses! Nyak thought he should help, but they didn't need help. They knew what they were doing. When he finally completed the initiation, he was sent out on a real mission, to defend a bunker from the alien scum.

The plan was simple. All Nyak had to do was to save some old friends and kill the leader. But Nyak didn't want to kill anyone or anything. For his motto always was:

                "I don't murder, I rescue."

The young hero freed Fautline first, wounding Rikti Soldiers. Fautline and Nyak fought their way to Fusionette. They needed her to help defeat the Rikti in charge of this attack. When they destroyed the drones surrounding her, Nyak shook his head saying,"Always getting in trouble."

Nyak, Faultline, and Fusionette found the Chief. Nyak swung his sword, Faultline shook the earth,and Fusionette blasted away. Nyak took a final blow to weaken the Rikti. Then, Faultline made forced a spire to go through the leader's heart. He succeeded and Jake was horrified. Alien blood dripped onto the ground. Nyak soon realized that he had to kill them. If he was going to save the world, he would need to get rid of them.

His next task was to save three Longbow P.O.W.'s. The Lt. did not survive, though. The hero made a brave attempt to save the Captain, but Rikti surrounded him from both sides. He was stabbed by a Rikti sword. The group cleared the place and left. In war, Nyak thought, everybody dies, it seems.

Jake was told to save the people of the Rouge Isles. He did so, by destroying bombs and killing the Rikti. He had to save the citizens that were trapped there. He learned that everyone isn't evil.

[edit] Infection

One day, it was an average morning...except when this happened. ((Note: Brief Summary))

A man ran up the stairs of the blue bar in Pocket D. His eyes were red and he was in rage. He started attacking people and trying to bite them. Nyak just stood there and watched. But, unfortunately, he was tackled...and bitten. Jake became angry, and his eyes shifted from blue to red. Vomiting, he started to fight everyone who wasn't infected. Dusk Chameleon saved the day by destroying the virus inside their blood stream.

The next day, the man who bit him, introduced himself as Vermon. He told Jake that it was a virus to settle rage, created by the government. It did the opposite. From a simple blood test, Jake found out that his immune system was destroyed and he could die if the virus ever came back!

Waiting and waiting for a cure, Jake was careful not to catch anything. Two more people tried to help, but they couldn't find anything. His last resort was a long time enemy of his, Arbiter Death. John was infected with a virus too. But it was a different one. Nacht Sniper was called in to help. The Council hating weirdo, called in his partner, Betsy. Betsy, used a magic spell to cure them. Arbiter Death and Nyak went to the underground lair of Villains of Paragon City. They took blood tests and it was positive that they were cured.

[edit] Return to the Rouge Isles

Nyak failed to assassinate Lord Recluse, and was banished. However, He was brought back in by Arbiter Death. Nyak tricked Starkweather that he was a true member of Arachnos. The truth was: he wasn't. He really wanted to finish what he started. This time, he won't fail or quit until Arachnos is destroyed completely.

[edit] Operation Ghost

Trying to prove himself to Lord Recluse and his elite, he constructed a small Strike Force. Made up of villains around Mercy, they attacked Fort Cerberus. Nyak called this mission, Operation Ghost.

They would go inside and leave as much damage as possible. Like Executioner Venin said,"We must leave no witnesses." Starting with the courtyard, they killed and wounded Wolf Spiders. Some of the teammates even destroyed deactivated Arachnobots.

About thirty minutes later, the alarms sounded and they were forced to escape. Smoke and fire rised and covered the moon. The team set off to the Arachnos Fliers and landed in Cap au Diable.

<Nyak's eyes would then open wide in fear. He says, terrified, 'W-What?'>

<The huge Operative scowls 'He said kill 'em, or Recluse 'ill 'ave your head!'>

<Shaking, Nyak does the order>

<He took his katana and, one by one, stabbed their hearts>

<Seijaku becomes steined with blood>

<Nyak whispers to the dead bodies 'Travel Safe.'>

<Tears rush down his eyes>

<The men take the money and leave Paragon City>

"I'm trying to take out Arachnos from within. It just... It has a price to pay." -Nyak convincing his friends that him killing some innocent heroes will save the world in the end.

Because of that video, Freedom Corps, the PPD, and Hero Corps, want to arrest Nyak. Now, Nyak seems to have no allies. For he thinks that the Youth League has betrayed him.

[edit] "Death"

Shortly after, Lord Recluse learned about Jake spying on him...again. The Spider Lord took no chances this time and sent out a five thousand dollar reward for anyone who killed the spy. The hero was never safe, for everywhere Jake walked the streets of Paragon, some low-life scum would attack him.

Jake was hanging out in Pocket D until Executioner Venin arrived. The Bane Spider told Jake that Recluse sent him to kill the energetic hero. They took the battle to the Arena. They fought furiously, until Venin surrendered to Jake. After the battle, Venin apologized right before he was teleported to Zig. The villain escaped Zig a few days later.

After that victory, Dawn (His ex-girlfriend) broke up with Jake, for she wasn't very happy about him murdering. Depressed, because his life sucked and his ex just went out on a date, he talked to Arbiter Death to kill him. Death was very pleased and they fought a little in the streets of Galaxy, then in the forest of Perez Park. Jake was badly injured from the fight and that fooled Death to believe that the hero was dead.

"It's Finished...Mission Accomplished." - Arbiter Death after he 'Killed' Nyak.

Nyak has been recently fighting a super-villain named Doctor Armageddon. They fought through time and space. Nyak left the Youth League and all of his friends in the Isles and the city to train. From a battle with a dragon, The Hunter's blade was gravely damaged. Nyak learned a spell and moved the spirit into himself. Now, Nyak and the Hunter share the same body. Armageddon soon felt the spirit energy inside Nyak and he pursued him to get more power. He would then create an army with Dread Bots and super villains combined. Meanwhile, Jake went on a long journey to gain more experience in monster hunting. As he was walking up a mountain in Norway, a sword gleamed in the short distance. The sword was the Gram, Sigurd's sword. The Gram was said to have slain a dragon. Once Nyak weilded it, his determination (And ego) rose.

Armageddon constructed his army. It was small but it could cause major destruction. The villains set off to Norway to kill Nyak. Nyak was training his spiritual energy ontop of the same mountain where he found the Gram. A few days later, fifty robots and about ten mutants located and assualted the hero. The demon slayer quickly destroyed Armageddon's army. But, Armageddon was tough. The hero and villain clashed in an epic battle. The Hunter did something amazing. He transported Nyak to another location. In fact, it was another universe! Sadly, the spirit could not teleport him back and they were stranded in a magic filled land named Azirin.

This universe is pretty much the same as virtueverse. Although, one factor changed the world. Jake destroyed Arachnos. That led the Isles to sink and ultimately destroy itself in a civil war to the top of the food chain. Jake did not participate in the fight. Instead, he returned to his home, Paragon City and celebrated. Jake was still an outcast to the American Goverment. No matter what he did, Freedom Corps would not accept him. That made Jake really angry, and so, he has become a villain. Jake would fight heroes to the end, forgetting about the concept of being a hero and filling his thoughts with blood and hatred.

Nyak's Praetorian copy is named Dukkha (Craving causes Suffering [Theravada Buddhism]). Instead of having Dukkha's father being wiped out. All his family members have been killed. Dukkha led the path of evil and became a swordsmaster. Dukkha has made his followers into unique warriors.

The Cimeroran version of Nyak is Epitropos (Guardian in Greek). Epitropos is a heroic swordsman that fights with courage. He has become a legendary swordmaster in those parts and even leads some Cimeroran soldiers. Currently, he has been fighting vicious raids of Cimeroran Traitors. Nyak and Epitropos haven't met yet but, Imperious has been thanking Epitropos leaving the Nyak copy going, "Uh.. What?" Now Epitropos is eager to see what this "imposter" is.

In this dimension, Jake is a champion to Longbow. But, he loses a fight against a villain and decides that it was time to kick it up a notch. Jake worked with SERAPH and Hero Corps. to work on the perfect super soldier serum. The scientists made a prototype called, Serum AP (Alpha Protocol), and Jake accepted to be the first user. He knew the dangers but he wanted to get stronger. The serum worked and Jake became unstoppable. His abillities ranged from super strength to telekinesis. But, when he reached the age of twenty, Jake suffered severe madness. Then, cops found the hero dead in an alley of Atlas Park. The U.N. soldiers started getting Jake's symptoms, as they were given SAP. World War III started when America's enemies attacked them and their allies. Luckly, the war was finished within four years by a new generation of Heroes.

Nyak used to wear black leather jackets and black pants when he first came into the hero business. He dyed his hair white and covered his face with a black masked to hide his identity. Now, it's only a keepsake.

The trench coat, green shirt, brown pants, and black shoes are the only things he wears in the D and other places. After saving the day in tights, Jake just needs to relax in normal clothing.

Jake spent a lot of money in Icon making his costume just right. Now, he has done it! Wearing green and white armor, and having a green visor, he is "Super Nyak!" The Green 'N' is said to be a nice touch to the fantastic look.

When Jake wielded the Hunter, he had the power to slay any demon. His white and red magical armor protects him from dark magic. While over the armor, the Spirit Council's robe. White and gold.

Nyak stole an Archon's uniform for no serious reason. He only wears it to "Vreak" out Nacht Sniper.

Dr. Psyk - Nyak wants to arrest him for killing his father.

Arachnos - Has always been an enemy to Nyak ever since his father died.

Arbiter Death - Nyak tried to figure out what Death wanted with ShadowWings. Instead, Nyak was made into an enemy for Arbiter Death after some battles. Nyak blames all the pain that his friends suffered from Death on himself.

Keelut - Keelut. The main main main enemy of Jake. Reasons unkown, Jake would rather be tortured by Arachnos (Again) than to see Kee's little blue face. WIP!

Nyak has a few friends that he knows and trusts. Here they are!

Crypt Kid - Nyak's best friend. Ben and Jake like doing pranks together. When Jake first met Crypt Kid, he thought that the zombie was going to kill him.

Nathan Hyde - When Jake first met this person, he made a lot of werewolf/dog puns. But, as Nyak got to know Nathan better, he stopped with the jokes. Jake tells some-what important secrets to Hyde, thinking that he would never tell them to anybody else.

Ultra Assassin - Nathan knew Jake's father during the battle in Steel Canyon. Jake sees him as a father figure and sometimes calling him,'Uncle Nathan.' He gets all his tips from Ultra. Sometimes, Nathan is grouchy. So, Nyak always wants to help.
