[edit] Past
Josh, Ben, and David Woods were all born the children of two superheroes. Both parents knew that they would be forced to leave the heroing business after having kids. Their father, Jerald Woods, otherwise known as the retired hero, Jericho, was a very large man. His hero name came to be for two reasons. 1) His name was Jerald, Jerry for short. 2) He had the ability to knock down cities, not by walking around them, like in the Bible, but forcing his way through. Their mother, Melanie Woods, known as the former hero, Jynks, was a slender woman of about 5'-8". Jynks came to be after Melanie learned that she could alter the probability of a situation. Josh was the oldest of the three. Unlike his two brothers, he didn't receive mutations from his parents. Growing up, he felt isolated from his brothers. They would do things that Josh could not, no matter how much he tried. Ben and David went off and joined an academy for the "gifted", leaving Josh alone.
After graduating from high school, Josh joined the Marine Corps. The Marines taught him to be a leader, to be tough, never to quit. As a Marine, he fought in the First Rikti War that had plagued his hometown of Washington D.C. On a patrol, Josh and his troop came across a lone Rikti. Being the first person that the Rikti saw, the Rikti fired at him and Josh was hit in the face with one of the plasma blasts. Josh was taken to a hospital. He was going to be alright, but he was told that he would never be able to see again.
Because of this disability, he was forced to leave the Marine Corps. prematurely. He then went to Paragon City, looking for a way to "cure" his blindness. Shortly after arriving in Paragon, he was approached by a man that had a temporary solution; a device that could jump-start the ocular part of the brain for several hours at a time before having to be recharged. He then went off to college, acquiring a Master's degree in Chemistry and Biology. Woods learned of a group called Crey, being told of their scientific genius, but not being informed of their decadence. Josh was one of a prototype project of giving humans the powers of ice. Not like the Crey Cryo Tanks, but of a nature that it could occur in one's body without need of armor. Josh worked on the formula and became one of the first to test the project on. It was a success.
During his time with Crey, he had met a woman named Jenny Drake. Company rules did not allow employees dating employees. They both wanted to leave because of this, but, in the end they found a better reason to leave. Finding out about the corruption in Crey Industries, both Josh Woods and Jenny Drake led anti-Crey strikes. However, these went unnoticed by the public seeing as Crey had expertise in covering things up. When the strikes didn't work, the two of them quit their jobs.
Jenny was a technological genius, and Josh was a scientific genius. Jenny made something to help Josh, when she first met him. She created a pair of sunglasses that give Josh his sight back. In time, they taught the other the skills they knew. Together, they became heroes in Paragon City. In their spare time, Josh and Jenny began to go out more. Soon enough, Josh proposed to Jenny, who accepted happily.
Unfortunately, it did not last, while walking alone in Paragon City; Jenny was hit by a car. Doctors tried to save her, but in the end, they could not. No investigations were started, in all likelihood because an undercover Crey agent paid the police off, but Josh is aware that the death of his wife was not accidental; he knows that Crey setup the whole incident in which his wife was to be killed. Josh, however, is not 100% sure of their intent. He has narrowed it down to two possibilities; either Crey wanted them both dead, but Josh wasn't with Jenny at the time of the impact, or that this was planned as a way to force Josh to rejoin Crey.
Josh has now become a highly successful and well known hero in Paragon City. His sunglasses have now made him a highly recognized figure, whether in costume or not, sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way.
[edit] Powers
Nitrogenn has the power of generation and usage of ice particles by manipulating the particles in the air around him.
[edit] Abilities
Josh is excellent with arms, large or small, as he was in the Marine Corps.
[edit] Weaknesses
Josh is blind, therefore, if you take away his sunglasses, he cannot see anything at all. He also cannot use his powers without his bio-suit, if he uses his powers too much without his bio-suit, he will, undoubtedly, freeze to death.
