Liquidus is a combination spy and special operations agent who works for the National Security Agency, where his Joint Operation is a fictional branch into black ops and espionage unit. He is repeatedly entrusted with reconnaissance and infiltration mission to foil plans among the Malta Organization as well as any other group that threatens Paragon City, the United States, and the world's freedom and security.

[edit] The Birth of the Twins
It all began when Crey Industries approve a team of scientist, led by Dr. Hal Creed, to test and experiment cloning stages inside a woman's womb. Dr. Creed wanted a woman that's no more than a month's pregnancy time and later found Susan Waters in an alley within Founder's Fall, whom was thought to be homeless and abandoned. Only 2 weeks into the pregnancy, Susan was authorized against her will to be part of the experiment. Everything was going smoothly until 5 months later when Susan's face started showing up as a high priority missing person. The team was able to research and found that the father of the baby, which is now twins with the clone, had returned home after being captured by the Russian Government - only to find his house burnt down by Freakshows and his newly wedded wife... missing.
Having to feel some remorse towards Susan, Dr. Creed was reminded of his passing wife (the two supposedly looked alike and had the same personality), Dr. Creed tried to appeal an abortion of the experiment and wanted to use all available resources to preserve Susan and the twins' life; Susan was predicted to not being able to survive giving birth due to the womb's overwhelming nature and inability to adapt to the twins. Denied of abortion and threaten of permanent unemployment, Dr. Creed took maters into his own hand to come up with a solution to nullify the threat. While planning the solution, Dr. Creed's team was moved to a new location due to an infiltration breach and later had a big story popping up all over the news about a contractor of the McDonnell-Douglas Corporation died in a plane crash the outskirts of Paragon City scheduled to land in Los Angeles for business - Dr. Creed felt the timing was too close and knew the plane crash was just another cover-up, guilt rushes over him greatly. He made a promise to himself to do everything in his power to preserve Susan's life so that the twins will still have their mother after birth.
Dr. Creed contacted his brother-in-law to do some hiring of Mercenaries to help retrieve Dr. Creed and Susan and take them to a secured location and out of Crey's grasp. With careful planning and intelligence gather since the Dr. Creed's moving of a new location, the team was ready and waiting for the green light as Susan went into 3 days of labor. The first son was born, the original and unaltered; Susan named him, David - after Ron's Father. The second son was born, the clone and altered genetics to be considered a Meta-Human among many societies; Susan named him, Ryan - after Susan's Father. The twins were born; the green light was given to the team, and the mother dead 2 hours later after giving birth. Crey's Security Team hot on the team's trail, Dr. Creed managed to hide the twins with his brother-in-law only to have him and the team killed, as his brother-in-law was secretly a Malta agent. Crey Security team later discover the dead bodies of Dr. Creed and the mysterious mercenaries, killed by gunshots, and the twins were nowhere to be found. Crey Industries found no clues and no leads on what exactly took place and later cancelled the investigation.

Col. Nelson used to be apart of the development team that designed the "Sapper" weapon, which was still a proto-type and widely used by the new special squad before being released to the entire Maltas. Realizing the potential promotion leaps on bringing new technologies and programs to the Maltas, Col. Nelson was contacted by Dr. Creed for a personal request and later developed a perfect scheme to use the new twins as leverage in order to gain another giant leap into the higher ranks and able to finally extract revenge on Dr. Creed whom Col. Nelson blamed for his dear sister's death many years ago. Not wanting to compromised his plans, he hired a separate mercenary group to retrieve Dr. Creed and a the test subject while he called in a few favors among the newly formed gunslingers with no questions asked to kill all survivors after the twins were given to him.
With 10 new recruits, ranging from 2 to 8 year olds (the twins being the age of 5), these new operatives were fed, bred, slept, and trained as Maltas. They never had any love, any fun, or anything relating to a childhood. Warfare was all they knew; their mission was the only thing on their mind. No matter what, they must complete their mission, even at the cost of their own life. All of the Malta Operatives were disgusted at the sight of this newly formed team, they couldn't stand the thought of these kids being trained to outperform them in every way... the kids had no friends but each other; however, no one has experience isolation any better than Ryan himself. While the kids were training as a team, Ryan undertook different training due to his "special" condition... the super speed like nature gave him the ability to gather knowledge and intelligence on a far faster scale than any normal operatives as well as giving Ryan super speed like reflexes which made him an ideal operative as a scout for reconnaissance and infiltration.
While David did what he could for his little brother, the entire team as well as the entire Malta was trained to kill Meta-Humans (with more hate as oppose to Humans), Ryan was considered a Meta-Human. During the entire 10 years of training, Ryan was outcast and isolated from the rest of the group and the only human contact he had was his brother during sleeping hours. The Malta Commanders took full advantage of this situation so that Ryan can learn to fend for himself while serving only the Commanders, as the rest of the group; he was trained to always complete his mission. Despite all the isolation, the outcast, the disgusted looks, the name callings, Ryan still pushed himself harder and harder till one day that he hope he would finally be acknowledge by his own organization.
May 2nd, 1997, this marked the completion of the training program and the first real objective was given to the newly formed team, now known as the Meta-Human Disposal Squad (MHDS). While the operatives were still young ranging from 12 to 18 years old, the team performed extremely well under the given conditions. With David, later code-named Solidus, leading the team with his second in command, Ryan, later code-named Liquidus; they were able to achieve a 97.96% mission success rating with 785 objectives given throughout their stay. Maltas acknowledged Solidus for the fact that he never lost a single squad member under his command. Liquidus on the other hand, was only acknowledge by his own team due to their new bond development since the first given objective but he was still widely disgusted by the rest of the organization; however, the organization no longer matter to him, as he found peace among his newfound brothers and only thought of their safety and he strived to better himself for them.
It wasn't until 2001 when Malta Intelligence discover news that Crey Industries had developed some interest in an old experiment that took place many years ago, although it didn't matter much to the Malta Commanders, more intelligence traffic started to increase and they later discovered that Crey Industries wanted to develop advance cryotanks using reports from the cloning inside a woman's womb back in 1980-1981 to develop a higher quality clones, it rose a red flag for Col. Nelson. It's been 14 years since the program started, Col. Nelson was a changed man, and he was once a ruthless commander and now a close friend to the team. Like Dr. Creed, he felt remorse towards the twins and wishes to take them away from the Maltas. With worried that the Malta Commanders would raise suspicious prematurely about Crey's new experiment before Col. Nelson could come up with a new plan to allow the team to disband on their own, Col. Nelson had sent Liquidus on an unofficial reconnaissance to one of the Crey Industries Lab to discover if Liquidus and his brother's file have anything to do relating to this new experiment. Weeks gone by, Liquidus was missing, and the commanders were furious.
Trying to keep things under wrapped, Col. Nelson denied giving Liquidus orders to undertake this mission and went on his own; however, he did reveal to them that Solidus and Liquidus' file might relate to the new experiment they've been receiving in their intelligence and presumed that Liquidus' motive was to discover if this was true. Further intelligence confirmed that Liquidus was captured during his infiltration and was kept for interrogation; the team was getting ready and waited anxiously for a green light to go and rescue Solidus' brother. Col. Nelson then gave them the bad news that the team will not be getting such mission; the Malta Commanders wanted the rest of the team to view this as a lesson to never attempt to go on a mission without orders. Surprised and raged, the gunslinger advisor of the team used his high-ranking privilege to appeal for a search and rescue operation but was turned down every time.
Col. Nelson decided to take full advantage of this situation, he advised a plan to the team for them to undertake, it would involved a lot of hacking into the mainframe system to stir confusion within the organization as well as sending signals to send confusion to the Crey Industries, hoping to buy Liquidus any sort of opening, while deleting any information regarding this group, their past, and their program... but at a price. Hacking into the mainframe requires 3 hackers to hack in simultaneously, while 1 can be hacked from any remote location through the networks, the 2nd needs to be hacked from their barracks but the team developed all kinds of escape routes for it, the 3rd have to be at the mainframe physically is what poses a problem, a problem that Col. Nelson decided to take alone. Once the mainframe realized that something is being deleted or changed to existing information, it would lock the room down with the user and wait till further authorization is required. Col. Nelson is the only operative high enough on the team to have access to the mainframe, but he won't have clearance to get out after the lock down. Hesitating to take up Col. Nelson's idea, the team was running out of time and decided that they didn't have much of a choice.
The team geared up and waited in their position after much careful planning. Ever since the appeals, the Malta Commanders wanted to make sure that the team wouldn't do anything hasty so they assigned a group of gunslinger to keep watch. Once they finished their briefing, they set out towards the team's barracks only to fine them gone... they started to worry. Col. Nelson proceeds to the mainframe and began to set up, once done, the green light was given and the hacking was in progress. As expected, the mainframe proceeded to a lockdown as it waits further authorization for further noticed. The hackers worked their way around the system and got the information they wanted, deleted. They sent out signals of false intelligence about a possible search and rescue operation of Liquidus, hoping the Crey Industries will pick it up while sending false intelligence to Malta's intelligence about a possible Crey Industries raid in order to allow the team to escape under the confusion. The team of gunslinger proceeded to the mainframe and cleared the lockdown, only to find Col. Nelson inside... dead. Further investigation revealed that Col. Nelson had committed suicide with a special pill in order to keep himself from getting interrogated, which was the last the team has heard from him. MHDS was now considered disbanded as all the operatives within the team are either defected against Malta or deceased.
[edit] A Path Revived
It's been months since Liquidus' captured, Crey Industries is anything but mercy. Liquidus was able to infiltrate the targeted compound successfully but upon finding out exactly what went on with the experiment, he came across his old files and hesitated to move quickly before a lock-down. All his questions were answered and 2 name... the names of his parents. The security team were consist of the newly developed Crey Tanks and Juggernauts, which easily overpowered the distracted operative. Unsure exactly what was going to happen to him, he felt like giving up, after realizing that he was responsible for the fact that his parents are no longer alive, that perhaps his brother would had liven a different life if it wasn't for him. He no longer cared what Crey Industries did to him, he was their creation, and he felt like they should do as they please as long as he doesn't give out any information that would hurt his brother or his team in any way. Liquidus kept his word; Crey Industries got nothing out of him, not even a word.
Broken and battered, everything changed. Liquidus was taken out of his cell and brought to a lab, they tied him down to a bed and began hooking him up to an IV system and put him under, he wondered what was going to happen next but he knew either way, it wouldn't mattered. What felt like seconds, he finally gained conscience after being put out for days and slowly regained his vision. Besides him, he noticed a cryotank with a small humanoid being inside; he fell back asleep. As a few days gone by, a scientist doing a routine check up waked him up. Liquidus asked the scientist what that thing was in the cryotank, having some hesitation at first, the scientist felt like there was no harm in Liquidus knowing and told him that it was a clone of Liquidus, he explained to him that they scrapped the idea of going through old files on the woman's womb experiment and decided to start all the cloning process from scratch. Surprised and shocked, Liquidus wasn't exactly sure how to comprehend this... he looked over at the cryotank and noticed the humanoid baby was a little bigger than the last time he saw it, realizing it was actually him in there from a whole new perspective.
Weeks gone by as Liquidus continues to watch his clone grow in the cryotank, the scientist said it wouldn't be long before the clone enters his early teens. Little did the scientist team know; a new perspective came with a new view on life. As the scientist team continue to operate on consoles while doing their daily operation, Liquidus is secretly paying attention on how to operate them, while he may feel responsible for changing his parents and his brother's life, he knew now that he didn't want this new person walking in his footsteps - clone or not, this person is now his flesh and blood. Liquidus took mental notes of all the faces and their schedules, the routine patrol check ups, and anything out of place. While still bound to his bed, Liquidus continues to wait for a perfect timing for him to escape and none could be more perfect than a possible intelligence from Maltas. Realizing that the schedules have changed and the security team rotated, shifting manpower to other locations, Liquidus overheard someone say that the Maltas may be planning an attack on the compound to rescue their captured operative. Unsure of what's going on, Liquidus wasted no time on getting free.
It was getting close to midnight; the staff was very thin and elsewhere. The security teams guarded other parts of the compounds more closely than their own lab; Liquidus' opportunity finally came and began going to work. Being as acrobatic as he is, Liquidus quickly perform some overpowering maneuvers to unbound himself from the bed and waited a moment to regained his strength, stretching out his muscles and finally getting close to his perk, he proceeded to the consoles. Getting rid of information and operating the cryotank, Liquidus proceeded to delete any aging acceleration and gets the cryotank ready for ejection. He stood before the cryotank as it slowly drains the liquid inside, the clone slowly touching the bottom and lying down; the cryotank began to rise as Liquidus carefully hold the clone into his arms, Liquidus smiled for the first time in many years as he watched the clone sleep soundly in his arms. Not wanting to waste anymore time, Liquidus held the clone around his back, wrapping his arm around Liquidus' neck and proceeded to the door.
Butt-naked and wet, Liquidus knew he would need to find some clothes; last thing he would want is someone taking note of a naked man with a naked boy running across the streets, Liquidus proceeded to a locker room stated in the overhead signs. Dodging security team's patrol routes and rendezvous points, Liquidus made it to the locker room at ease with no sign of detection. Scouring the locker room for clothes, Liquidus outfitted himself and carefully outfitting the boy without waking him up. Once done, Liquidus put the wrapped the boy around his back again and proceeded to the door, vising up an escape route based on his memory of the layout he gathered from the console. Once a security team passed around the corner in the hall, Liquidus made a break for it. Quietly and carefully, he once again dodged each checkpoints and patrol routes as he slowly makes his way to the surface... to freedom. That is until the whole place lit up with red lights and alarm sirens blaring, they must've found them both gone from the lab. Liquidus continue to make haste towards the surface, carefully dodging the entire staff as they search for the missing subjects.
Nearing the surface, the security team began setting up choke points as they opened fire on the escaped kidnapper. Dodging back to the corner, Liquidus tried vising up a different path only to run into the same problem with choke points, trying to come up with a solution - Liquidus realized a flaw in the layouts. While the choke points were strategic, it works better against invaders from the surface as the Armory is on Liquidus' side of the choke point. Setting the boy in a safe spot away from the action, Liquidus felt that it was time to show the security team what a battle was really all about. Making full use of the Armory's Stock, Liquidus outfitted himself ranging from all types of guns he could carry to grenades onto any straps he could find and finally a rocket launcher for a bang. While really over-doing it, Liquidus felt a rush and for the first time. Liquidus felt like he was doing something right, getting the boy out of Crey's grasp and into safety.
A crazed man walking, the security spotted a figure walking up holding onto something big; realizing what it was, they ducked for cover as Liquidus fires the rocket towards the barricade. Ditching the launcher, Liquidus ducks for cover behind one pillar as the security team regains their ground and opens fire. Waiting for them to reload, Liquidus grabs 2 grenades off his straps and ready himself. As the fire dies down followed by empty clips falling to the ground, Liquidus reveals himself once more tossing the grenades at the unexpected barricaded team. As the security takes cover once again, Liquidus grabs 2 of his sidearm and opens fire then ducks at one of the advancing pillar as the grenades explode. Using his speed, Liquidus open fires at advancing reinforcements as he enters hand-to-hand combat at dazed barricaded team. Running out of ammo as the advancing reinforcements makes their way to the barricade; Liquidus quickly undoes the strap and triggers one of the grenades. Grabbing one the downed guard's gun, Liquidus quickly covers fire as he retreats back towards the other end as reinforcements set up behind the barricade, not knowing what was left behind. Quickly taking cover in the Armory, an explosion occurred.
Liquidus carefully wraps the heavily asleep boy and makes a break for it once again. Fire alarms now going off followed by fire sprinkles, Liquidus covers the boy's head as he makes his way pass through the exploded barricade. With no reinforcements in sight, Liquidus continues to run for it. Upon reaching the front offices, Liquidus takes cover in each empty cubical as the security team co-ordinate with the local fire department to bring the fire under the control. Avoiding detection, Liquidus and the boy was finally free. As Liquidus looks over the building, he realized that something else must've gone down as the building continues to burn. Whatever it was, it bought him more than enough time and confusion to break free. Looking over his newfound friend, Liquidus smiled as the boy yawns and continues to sleep soundly throughout the night. Not knowing what to do next, Liquidus disappeared into the night with the boy, searching for a new home to start a new life, a life that should've been lived many years ago.
[edit] A Life-Long Contract
3 months since the event at Crey Industries' lab, Liquidus and Jason (named after Liquidus' mentor during his time with Malta) had made their way to Kings Row. While the Paragon Police Department's Headquarters may be located in the area, Kings Row is anything but clean... one of the few central zones for industrials, the place is often overturned by the Lost, the Skull gangs, and even the mysterious Circle of Thorns. Finding a place to call home in one of the abandoned apartments, Liquidus sets out to find a job so that he could give Jason a better life. Although with each application filled and turned in, every employer turns Liquidus down due to the background check. As simple as that, Liquidus have absolutely no record of himself, no social security, no birth certificate, nothing. Unsure of what to do next, Liquidus resorted to stealing food and things to keep Jason and himself alive in order to survive. But as weeks go by, Liquidus finally got fed up with this lifestyle and decided to turn himself him, hoping to set up a deal with the local authorities to give information based on what he knows about Maltas in exchange for some kind of better lifestyle for Jason. As Liquidus goes to turn himself in for the crimes he committed in the past, he was only to be laughed out of the building and considered a waste of time.

While having somewhat of an awkward gut feeling that this whole contract was staged since the very beginning, Liquidus soon disregarded it as he started getting out in the field, realizing that the things he did was out-weighing the things done in the past. Keeping up with training and fitness, Liquidus started out small in terms of operation to foil Malta Operations. The Maltas started to get a little shaken up as they caught a rumor that it was Liquidus spearheading these foils and then attempt to reveal his identity and past. While the city got somewhat insecure with their lives at first and wondered if the government had really lost it's way in maintaining Liberty and Security, the government decided to retaliate and reveal some of Liquidus' successful operations that led up to this point and brought a sense of security once again among the population. Of course, the city has long since forgotten about Liquidus but the government decided to support this public identity, a proposed idea of Liquidus acquiring a Hero's License gained full support among the NSA and the US Government - the President of United States himself gave the green light.
As for Jason, being a clone of Liquidus, also had the ability to comprehend new knowledge at a faster pace, home schooled for a year, Jason was able to finish his schooling through a public high school in Steel Canyon so that he could try and lead a normal life. Although as Jason slowly reaches his adulthood, both Jason and Liquidus realized that Jason wasn't an exact replicate of Liquidus, as Jason began to develop a manipulation over the air around him and controlling it's temperature to a lower degree. Having a new fascination over ice, Liquidus decided to set limitations to Jason's usage over his newfound power so that he wouldn't loose focus in school. Once Jason graduated, he wasted no time in getting started with a new life, a path of a hero. Taking on a new identity, Jason was now known as Liquid Zero, a teen hero whom favors ice manipulation for his melee and armor. Although not considered a full time hero, Jason still wanted to continue his study and got enrolled with The University of Paragon City.

[edit] Fighting Skills
As the nature of Liquidus' job relies on stealth and non-detection, he is highly adept at blending into shadows and moving silently. Liquidus also have technology support of a stealth generator as well as mastering the arts of Ninjitsu. He is able to sneak up on most opponents undetected and quickly subdue them using either lethal or non-lethal means. But when it comes to a point where a full frontal assault is inevitable or perhaps detection is unavoidable, Liquidus will do everything in his power to emerge victorious or at least live to fight another day. With heavy training, Liquidus will utilize any available resource at his disposal. Depending on his load out, Liquidus will do his best to keep his foes at a distance with his weapons out of harm's way as he could easily dodge and take cover using obstacles in his surroundings. But when it's time to get up-close and personal, Liquidus is equipped to use dual ninja blades and is able to maintain a strong fluid motions that favors defensive stances but creating openings at the same time against his opponents. If Liquidus were to ever be disarmed, or simply doesn't his blades, Liquidus is trained in many forms martial arts, favoring Kick Boxing, Krav Maga, Kung Fu, Jujitsu, Kenpo, and Taekwondo. As of a result of heavy training and many years of experience since the age of 5, Liquidus is an extraordinary martial artist, swordsman, and marksman.
On a side note, Liquidus is extremely athletic, even more so with his young age. He is capable of many different climbing and scaling abilities, such as step-jumping to climb raised walls, performing a split leg maneuver to keep himself supported for a long period of time, as well as being able to hold on tightly to ceiling pipes or even the undercarriage of a moving train. He is also strong enough to lift the body of a full-grown man onto his back and carry it around, and can run somewhat faster than the average operative. He utilizes some aspects of the French gymnastic art of Parkour while surmounting obstacles, albeit in a slightly slower and stealthier way. In addition, Liquidus is also considered a meta-human due to his genetic alteration before birth, effectively increasing his agility and reflexes, labeling it a "Super Speed Type Reflexes" by the officials; Liquidus is able to dodge many things, i.e. bullets, at ease. Of course, being overwhelmed by sheer numbers, Liquidus can still see incoming threats as they close in on him and will either deflect or block them completely. An example of this, Liquidus is able to knock bullets out of their trajectory as they come within range, due to Liquidus' special fingerless gloves that have a highly durable metal plate across the upper part of the hand.

With Liquidus' special ability to gather and comprehend new intelligences at a fast pace, he were able to get trained in many different fields that was provided by the Malta and NSA. Increasing his efficiency and survivability, Liquidus is unmatched against any highly trained squadrons among the United States' Military and Agency branches. These are the training Liquidus have received since his first entry to Malta and will most likely to continue in the future as time progresses on depending on the NSA.

While the NSA is basing an entire branch around Liquidus, they put a lot of trust in his ability to pull through each and every operation. But there will be time when things are going to get overwhelming, so the NSA had developed a much need high technology that can't really be available to the entire army. But with just one person to outfit, Liquidus' life outweighs the cost. The first and very noticeable feature seen on Liquidus is his body armor. Something that not a lot of people will see among soldiers as it's very custom made but amazing in its performance; Liquidus' body armor is very similar to a new body armor design called the Dragon Skin (video), although modification made towards another layer over the shoulders and extra protection around the neck. The body armor provides some additional pouches for bullet magazines. Liquidus is also equipped with a tactical belt that allows a total of 8 Protected Pouches for various kits, devices, and/or equipments as well as a secured sheath for a Combat Knife. To further Liquidus' load out, he is equipped to sheath Dual Ninja Blades, 2 holsters (one per leg) for 2 M9 Pistol, a clip-on for M4A1 Carbine, and 3 placement straps for various type Hand Grenades. (Fragmentation, Concussion, Flash bang, Incendiary, and Smoke.) Last but not least, Liquidus have on kneepads protection as well as fingerless gloves that a highly durable metal plate across the top.

[edit] Weaknesses
Liquidus have 2 categories that his weakness can fall into, physically and emotionally. Physically, Liquidus is still a regular being with only unnatural speed and heavy training to rely on if he was ever stripped from his support of USS Kahu, his comrades, and his gears. While Liquidus trained in many different areas, they are usually considered the "Jack of all Trades" but "Master of None". He can be easily overwhelmed with pure strength, intelligence, and/or sheer numbers. Although Liquidus is trained to give his all and not go down without a fight, he can and will eventually be tired out. Emotionally, Liquidus have become somewhat close with his friends and family that can be used against him. Growing up with only a few numbers to call his family only to be lost contact for many years after the events of his capture in Crey Industries, he kept his newly formed relationships with others close by on a very personal level. With that said, Liquidus is also know to put a lot of faith in them that can be used against him in means to forward one's own goal, whatever that may be.
[edit] Personality
Liquidus have somewhat of a unique personality; it tends to be different from time to time but always filling in what's right depending on the situation. He is usually somewhat quiet and shy towards people he doesn't know but when an operation or a job is in place, he tends to be outgoing and friendly. That being said, Liquidus can then further his personally that would either be humorous or serious, again depending on the situation. Almost always though, he is always encouraging and supportive. Liquidus often tell others to have faith and to always remember that not everything is always as it seems (with faith, its usually on the good side). He will often be selfless as well, putting others first before him, telling them to always have hope while himself having doubts but in the end, Liquidus believes that he and his comrades will always pull through, with either victory or defeat. One thing for sure, Liquidus will keep parts of the passage from the Navy SEALs' creed, "I will not quit, I will not fail" and will gladly give his life for what he believe is right.

[edit] United States Navy
As mentioned before, the NSA developed an entire new branch based on a qualified meta-human. The NSA wanted to use some of the sayings such as "to go anywhere, anytime, at a moment's notice," that the United States Special Forces have as well as supporting an idea of a mobile base. NSA proposed to the United States Navy (home of the Navy SEALs and a tugger for the United States Marines) a joint operation based entirely on one operative. Although the US Navy thought that the whole idea was a wild goose chase at first, the NSA's proposal doesn't require an entire naval fleet, the NSA wanted the US Navy to construct a modified version of the latest carrier in design, the CVN 21, the modification geared towards to reducing some of it's flight operations (mainly the rear hanger) and integrate a NSA base of operation aboard the aircraft carrier. Funding will be provided as needed and the United States Air Force and other advanced technological corporations will also be working closely with the project in order to make full use of the technology available to the United States. The US Navy still being unsure about an entire branch being centered around one man, the NSA offered the US Navy to give Liquidus any tests that would allow them to see him in action. Liquidus passed most tests with flying colors and gained a considerable approval on the oddballs along with many continual debates, the US Navy was finally convinced to the agreements.
[edit] Transportation
Liquidus is also supported by the SH-60 Seahawk, used for various operations as well as low priority transportation for Liquidus such as between areas or to and from the aircraft carrier. The SH-60 Seahawk also allows Liquidus to be inserted to the water close to his targeted location if deemed necessary. On the ground, Liquidus is offered different types of vehicle's depending on the situation, such as a humvee or an off-road buggy (transported in by the SH-60 Seahawk). However, the most highly used and noticeable ground transportation is Liquidus' bike, the 2006 YZF-R1 (Limited Edition), which was a birthday gift (and as a late Christmas present) by the entire crew of the USS Kahu and Liquid Zero. Liquidus having to never celebrate his own birthday before, the admiral and Liquid Zero wanted to do something special for Liquidus' 25th birthday - Liquidus was a very happy camper that day, the admiral ordered Liquidus to test ride it around the flight deck but Liquidus wouldn't go anywhere near it until it was on land, preferably the road but just not on the aircraft carrier. The last thing Liquidus wanted to do was ride the bike off the edge one to see it sink on the very same day he set sight on the bike. Although the admiral assured Liquidus that it wouldn't happen, Liquidus still refuses to listen.

The support from the aircraft carrier, USS Kahu, doesn't stop at transportation. As the word has it, one person cannot change the world unless he's a god. This is very true in Liquidus' mind as he feels he is neither god nor hero but lucky for him, Liquidus is never alone as he performs his operations on a daily basis. A key to a successful operation is a successful team; most general public would assume that Liquidus is a one-man army that operates alone; while this may be true but not the case. Liquidus is supported via radio by commanding officers and specialists that are relayed by the E-2C Hawkeye. E-2C Hawkeye is an all-weather, aircraft carrier-based tactical Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft which provides all-weather airborne early warning and command and control functions for the carrier battle group. Additional missions include surface surveillance coordination, strike and interceptor control, and search and rescue guidance and communications relay. An integral component of the carrier air wing, the E-2C uses computerized sensors to provide early warning, threat analysis and control of counteraction against air and surface targets. With eyes above his head, Liquidus is better prepared for what is thrown at him or even better aware of the things happening around him.

As mentioned above, the NSA wanted to promote the US Government's involvement in it's fight against the villains around the world using Liquidus to spearhead the whole operation. But in order to be involve, they need to be involve with the hero community - so in light of this proposal, Liquidus became a registered hero on March 27th, 2005, exactly 4 years since he joined the NSA. But this was only the beginning, the next step was to have Liquidus juggle time with the NSA and a supergroup. The Defenders of Paragon became an obvious choice due to it's reputation, rich history, and its members. After going through the recruitment process, Xanatos himself was proud to offer a membership to Liquidus. Throughout his stay, Liquidus formed many friendships with The Defenders of Paragon and still maintain a close relations with them upon leaving to follow Cloud Runner and Crazy Ace to The Frontline.
[edit] The Frontline
After the events of The Eidolon Eight, The Havok Brothers realized that a dedicated attack force was necessary to take down the City's overwhelming villainy and organized an proactive event known the Counter Attack to clean up Siren's Call. It was an overwellming success, which would lead to the formation of a new supergroup known as The Frontline. Unfortunately this meant leaving the ranks of The Defenders of Paragon, perhaps the city's most trusted group of heroes. Soon joined by The Nitedevil, the three are now on a mission to recruit able heroes, powered and non-powered alike as well as closely align themselves with other like-minded groups in this new war against villainy.
While Liquidus was not the one of the first to join The Frontline, Liquidus recruitment into the supergroup didn't come till 2 months after the formation of The Frontline. The decision did not come lightly and without a cost, once finding out that Cloud Runner had left to join The Frontline, Liquidus debated with the NSA if it would be more resourceful as The Frontline have better involvement with the military aspects and a more direct approach against the villains around the world. Crazy Ace also camed to Liquidus as the 2 debated together on whether they should follow Cloud Runner in order to keep the 3 together. Liquidus then decided to go through with this and the NSA's full support with this new changes. Since then, Liquidus started to develop new friendships and hasn't regretted his decision since.
[edit] Freedom Force
There comes a time where even those best decision must come to an end. The Frontline is simply that, although the next course of action is certainly unexpected to Liquidus as Kara Nova suggested a new super group rather than finding a new home. With lots of feelings being put into place as he was close friends with The Havoks as well as being committed to Kara Nova in a relationship, he was unsure exactly what to do but decided to keep his promise and follow Kara Nova wherever she goes. To his surprise, The Havok Brothers had supported this movement 100% and told Liquidus that it was an honor fighting along side together. Timekick being apart of this new movement wasted no time in registering the new super group giving it's new name "Freedom Force" which was later to be described as a group of misfits just trying to save the world by Graphite. Upon joining the ranks of the Freedom Force, Liquidus had felt something he had never felt before, where in his line of operation, he would avoid it as much as possible but now... all eyes are on him, can he push Freedom Force forward with the help of Kara Nova and Timekick? Only time will tell.

Appearance: Liquidus standard outfit appearance (as well as all members of Fox Unit) is influence by a combination of the Jounin Ninjas of the Konoha Village in the Naruto Anime series and Rainbow 6 Vegas Operatives with some different equipment base and color changes. Later on, with the release of Issue 10, Liquidus obtained a new Exo-Proto Type Suit that is greatly influence by a combination of Solid Snake's sneaking suit and Raiden's Exo-Skeleton suit from MGS4, again with a different equipment base and color changes. However, the Exo-Proto Type Suit had been seriously damaged beyond repairs during one of Liquidus' Ops for the NSA. The blue prints of the suit is secured in a safe file incase reconstruction is deemed necessary.
Meta-Gaming: Although I realized the vast resources at Liquidus' disposal of being able to gain information that isn't necessarily available to him or others without some means to do so, but in order to keep Liquidus from "meta-gaming", I often counter this problem this by saying that Liquidus cannot use any of his NSA connection unless the NSA itself have a hold into its operation... which is usually almost never during his time in City of Heroes/Villains. However, there are times when a another player would want Liquidus to use this connection (only if it involves that character and that I've gain permission to do so, as well as any other characters involved) and thus, Liquidus will turn in a few "favors" and be able to pull it off. If I think a situation would benefit from it, I will ask all the characters involved getting permission, but I won't worry about it if the idea is too extreme. Liquidus can also be used with the United States as well, but even with permission, it varies on the situation. Just wanted to give a heads up. =)
