Howling Resonator

The Howling Resonator is the device used by members of Task Force Howling Wolf to manifest powerful, artificial super powers.

The Howling Resonator looks almost like a child's novelty watch. A device with about the same volume as a brick, it is shaped like the head of a wolf, secured to the wrist of the wearer by two straps. The device is actually quite heavy, made of various strong metals and tempered glass; it is, after all, a weapon.
The machine is mostly matte grey-black, gunmetal style. The crown of the wolf head is coloured to correspond to the color code-name of the Wolf who used the device, with stripe down the muzzle extending from this spot; the straps are also coloured in this way. A number of the lines and curves of the head's shape have noticeable seams. These, along with eyes, glow in the same color as the straps and stripe while the device is active.
A group of three LEDs are present at the top of crown of the head, along the edges of the color spot. These blink and cycle when the Resonator achieves critical charge.

The Howling Resonator makes use of zero-point energy, utilizing it on a tiny scale to vibrate a number of arranged atoms within its power cell- the intended result being to induce a powerful, cyclic electromagnetic force. The resulting energy wave is used by the device to allow the user to manipulate energy in a way, or variety of ways.
The Resonator's true power comes into play when used by the correct person. Custom designed for the original Howling Wolves, the Howling Resonator earns its name from the effect caused by exposure to its original users. The Resonator is designed in such a way that when its specific user's biorythmic energy patterns combine with its own internal energy wave, they resonate resulting in a standing wave within the Howling Resonator's power center which, when disrupted, can release a sudden burst of power on roughly the same scale as a small meteor strike. Visually, this causes the wolf head's mouth to open, revealing a brightly shining orb of light. The mouth shuts when the final discharge is triggered, releasing the wave's built-up energy. Lack a tsunami crashing against the breakwaters, this is a devastating release of built-up atomic power. This energy is used by the Resonator's energy and particle manipulation systems to create suit of super powered armor, capable of bestowing amazing abilities to its wearer for as long as the resonator's power output remains stable (the duration varies.)
