Helios Is actually a character a GM made for me in my first excursion in to the Hero System Champions setting. He is a culmination of Green Lantern, Silver Surfer, and Superman.

More than 5000 years ago a being fought to save a civilization from a threat they knew nothing of. This was recorded in ancient Greek history as the sun god Helios's flight over the world to herald in the day. In actuality it was Helios a super powered alien who held immense control over fire. This fight destroyed an early invasion of another race that has since been destroyed. During the fight how ever Helios then called Gelthan was taken care of and worshiped by those that had seen what transpired. He was amused by their unusual behavior and took on the identity of the Sun God Helios. Helios would only stay here for a short time being needed back at his home world.

[edit] Fire Creation/ Manipulation

Through his innate ability to control and shape fire Helios has long been a master of fire. Using it to perform most of his attacks and even to fly.
