[edit] A note from the player
This virtue verse is a mess... a huge huge mess. I'm going to fix it soon, I freakin swear... please don't touch it right now... between classes, work, and all of life's other BS I haven't had time to write everything out... I know it's REALLY messy... just.. you know... deal with it. T_T

[edit] Foreword
The reason I play my character so oddly, is because she is a woman of many faces and personalities. This is due to her mind becoming so warped from the 2455 years she has been alive. Don't get me wrong, she is stable and can formulate thought. However, she will respond differently each time she meets with someone depending on how she feels. Does she want to toy with them? Does she want to give them the wrong impression? Does she want to be serious? Do they benefit her in any way? Or is she simply being herself? Who knows... she's just Gelle. Give me a try as a role player... I'm not too bad :P
If you see any grammar, spelling, or continuity errors, please tell me on my talk page or feel free to edit the entry. Please notify me in some way so that I know you did make an edit or I'll get all upset that some random stranger did something completely random to my page. Seriously though, please feel free to edit if I've made a goof ball move. :3

PS: Don't Stalk meh :O
PPS: No Mudkipz.
PPPS: Her name is pronounced Ghel ay.
[edit] Background
Born in 446 BC as the daughter of the popular spartan warrior Obelix, and a demi-goddess named Ianthe. Named at birth by her mother as Amaranth because her eyes were that of the color of a purple Amaranth flower. At her birth it was prophesied that she would have terrible power worthy to destroy Sparta and it's people. In fear King Aetos of the army ordered her to be killed. Her father, in complete anger attacked the king and demanded he spare his daughter from death. After much debate by the council of Sparta, it was deemed that if they were accepting of Amaranth, and gave her all the wealth and power of Sparta she would not wish to destroy them.
At the age of seven she was thrown into training and formed into a warrior. In 432 BC her father was killed in battle against the Athenians, crushing the heart of his beautiful daughter. Because of his death, Amaranth pleaded with King Aetos to be in the second wave in the Peloponnesian wars. Aetos quickly agreed and sent Amaranth into combat with her friend Alcander, in hopes she would be killed in the process.
After the wars had ended Amaranth went back to being shunned and ignored by the king and his senators, and left to her own devices of living as a soldier. Several years passed and finally the time came for her supposed death. Little did she know, her best friend Alcander had been trained to kill her his entire life but when the moment came, he could not because he had fallen for her. They devised a plan and Amaranth left Sparta so that Alcander could have the life he had always desired.
With king Aetos thinking that Alcander had killed her, Alcander was promoted to hoplomachos, teaching many new hoplites how to use weapons, and then later he was promoted to Lokhagos (Captain) of a fleet of the army. Through his happiness Amaranth smiled knowing she could help someone who had helped her.
Amaranth lived in a cave on Mt. Olympus alone, fishing, hunting, and gathering whatever she could. Not desiring to return to Sparta in fear that Alcander would be punished, she lived in exile until 421 BC when she fell into a deep sleep and never awoke. Alcander noting that she was not dead kept her safe and hid her from those who would come. He noted that through the years ice formed around her body and acted upon it's own free will to keep her safe from anything with a life force.
Gelle has woken up in many different eras of the world, but none were as significant as that of Sparta and her years spent in Paragon City.
[edit] Life in Paragon (20 years ago)
Waking up 2434 years later, Gelle found herself in a Crey laboratory surrounded by men. She had no waking memory of Sparta, Alcander, or her beloved father. She woke up in 1988 surrounded by Crey scientists who realized that they had found an awesome being. They brainwashed her immediately and gave her a terrible past in hopes they could use her powerful body against Paragon City. This made her first belief that she was the German daughter of the Galeharts who abused her for being a mutant, since eat time when Amaranth slept she forgot all memories of her past. She believed that it was her fault half the family had died, and thus she deserved what she was given.
Unknown to Gelle, Nathaniel (an actual child of the Galeharts) was recovered from his burned mansion, all of his siblings killed. The Crey thought it best to see how a hero interacts with an arch nemesis in a controlled experiment and he was quickly brain washed into thinking Gelle had really killed his entire family, leading to several attempt to kill her.
Later Deadshadow (a known mercenary) was hired to protect Gelle from Nathaniel. In the course of his protection Gelle and Deadshadow fell in love and married after Nathaniel was killed by Deadshadow. After two years Deadshadow was killed in a battle against his arch nemesis who was also destroyed.
[edit] Recent Activity (Current Year)
Gelle has lived alone for 16 years and lived in Steel Canyon where she keeps little company.
In recent years Gelle had two lives: the first one was the one changed by time, and the second is the one she lives currently. For now Amaranth is a loner who floats through life searching for the family she always longed for. Though completely unsuccessful, she runs her little SG, and waits for something big or small to happen.
[edit] The Alternate Dimension
It has recently been discovered that Amaranth had been high jacking Portal Corp to travel to and from an alternate dimension in which she had traveled from this point in time to another. Really it wasn't time, it was a pocket of time created accidentally by Alcander Remis about two years ago. Gelle has recently visited that dimension to keep tabs on her alternate self Black Amaranth, who interesting enough is her lighter side.
[edit] The Mutant Virus
A few years ago, Gelle was infiltrating a Crey laboratory with her then husband, Deadshadow. During their investigation, they found biochemical weapons used to take out mutants. They destroyed all the samples save for one. The last sample was in the arms of a Paragon Protector, and at the time it would have been impossible for either of them to have taken the large creature out, so Gelle took the blow and the last sample of the virus still lives within her.
This act came back to bite her in the ass when she recently developed symptoms. Searching for a cure, Gelle continuously came to dead ends. She had tried Crey files, Crey employees, Merc work, and good old fashioned crying for help to the Phalanx, but nothing ever came out of it. The Crey never finished their study, and the employees knew nothing since the project was a bust. No one in the merc business knew of the virus, and the Phalanx told her that the action she had taken to save the city in the first place was out of hero context and therefor they could not help her.
So now she lives with the virus that seems to be killing her slowly, though she doesn't seem to care at all... but that's the beauty of the Spartan resolve. No one ever knows you're hurting.
[edit] Vincent Jaeger and The T-organism
Roughly a year ago, Gelle came across a man from the Villains of Paragon City known as Vincent Jaeger. At the time Gelle was searching for a cure to her mutant virus, or at least some data from the Crey. Jaeger had over heard this and offered his help. Gelle was rather weary, since he was a member of the VOPC, but beggars can't be choosers. So, Gelle accepted his help. He has performed tests, extracted samples, and gave her some kind of medicine that would help keep the virus under control. They parted ways momentarily, but Jaeger told her he wasn't finished with the "help" yet.
[edit] Outbreak
A few months later Gelle gets word of some sort of mutant "outbreak" in the city. She immediately thought of Jaeger and sought him out. Upon finding him he gave her the oddest laugh and told him it had been his plan all along, Gelle's DNA was just the push he needed to make his dream come true.
[edit] Arbiter Slade and the V P C organisms
Apparently there were multiple Jaegers... but who could have possibly seen that coming? For one, Amaranth didn't who was caught completely off-guard when Slade had revealed himself as Vincent Jaeger. Believing this, she jumped to help him out...since she still believed she owed him for saving her life a while back.
After her help, Arbiter Slade then revealed he was a counterpart of Jaeger, and one of several Jaegers that exist. He then revealed that he was in love with her, and wished for her to leave her life with Arbiter Shade to be with him. Amaranth refused his offer as she was in love with Shade and currently carrying their child Jace (later to be Shroud of Shadows ).
Slade didn't take rejection well, and began formulating a plan to win her over, forcefully or not. In his attempt to leave Paragon, the protection bot for his base blew up, and burned Amaranth with it, completely by accident ((seriously... o.o; we really didn't plan that... I came out of the base portal and BAM the bot exploded, I was like "Wtf I'm keeping that".)) It was then that Slade felt both remorse and a stroke of genius. He strangled Amaranth and killed her in order to introduce the V P C organisms, bringing her not only back to life but also making her bend to his will.
With Amaranth as his puppet, he would have her leave Shade and be his "wife". He would also take control of Souless titan, and Exiern now causing them to be a "family" of sorts.
Meanwhile, Leon Wolfe, Amaranth's most trusted friend decided to call on the help of his creation Faust Leopold, giving Faust the control of his body in order to help Amaranth. This would entail the movement of Jace to another dimension, and momentarily Black Amaranth would carry the child for Gelle momentarily. All the while Faust's plans were stewing (See: Destiny is Manifested).
Back in Slade ville, things seemed to be going according to plan until Vincent Jaeger appeared on the scene, rather irritated someone was posing as him. Jaeger would put a huge cramp in Slade's plans and would destroy his lab, set Gelle free with his t-organism resting inside of her, and cause nothing but headaches for poor Slade.
Now Slade would realize that he would never have Amaranth, and felt that there was little purpose to his life. He would destroy his base, hoping to die with it. However, he would be ejected from his base by his computer which left him now pissed and a bit broken hearted. Amaranth would arrive to try to talk him out of suicide, but nothing would convince him otherwise.
On top of Independence port bridge, he would shoot himself in the head, resting the blame of his death on Amaranth's heart.

[edit] Shadow spite
[edit] The Hideout
In the recent months Gelle has been hard at work trying to piece together a successful business. Gelle formed The Hideout with her husband, Arbiter Shade and friend, Shadow Operator. Though at this time the company is small, Gelle has put all of her heart and soul into building what she hopes will be a lasting business and family.
[edit] Artifacts
[edit] Gelle's Knife
This is the knife that Deadshadow gave Gelle as a wedding present before he died.[edit] Gelle's Necklace
Gelle wears this necklace to live. Inside it is half of the life force of Arbiter Shade infused with what is left of Gelle's life force, keeping her whole. Being separated from this artifact would lead to her death.[edit] Feelings and Attitudes towards Gelle
(This is an IC place to put quotes from other character's thoughts on Gelle. Any and everyone is welcome to add their comments and quotes here as long as they have met my character.)
"Gelle....is an odd girl. Very much so a woman in personality. She's enjoyable to talk to, though." - Vincent Jaeger
"Most Spartans I know hate my guts... but this one, however, isn't as bad as all the rest. She complies with all our rules and has never tried to fight me... okay, maybe that one night at HQ." - Arbiter Death
"My luck with potential parents isn't great, but Gelle's always been like a mother to me. She took me in when no one else would and has always treated me with respect....in her own way. Spanish-Doll
"I don't want, anybody else! When I think about you, I cut myself! I cut myself! ... Wait, what the fuck am I doing with this kni-AAAGGGHHH!! AGGGH!!! MY EYE!! I CUT OUT MY EYE! WHY WOULD I DO THAT!? OW OW OW OW OW!!! "The thing I like about working with Gelle is, it's a working relationship. Kind of like with lesbians. One woman does all the pumping, and the other just sits there feeling good. Since I'm the man in the relationship, my arm hurts like hell. And the worst part is, we haven't even had sex." "... Okay, maybe it's not /quite/ a lesbian relationship. Which, there's a ton of in the City. And in the Isles. Infact I hear there are roving bands of migratory amazonian lesbian hordes who take any men they find, tie them down, and shove tiny sticks into their pee holes. Gelle's kind of like that. Just without the raging lesbian hordes, the tying down and sticks in the pee holes.""I remember the last time I walked in on Gelle in the shower. It was like looking in the freezer in 7-11: Full of ice cream and none of it edible." - Shadow Operator
" Gelle is sorta like a big sister to me. She took me in, despite my lycanthropy, and treated me better than anyone ever has. She trusted me with the safety of her kids once, and i would do the same for her. There isn't anyone else i could trust more. I look forward to serving her as long as possible." - Dead shots

- Shadow Operator - Crazy Tom, Gelle's most trusted buddy, good for laughs and a few booze. Even if he is a bit milky in the filbert. It is known that Tom is her most loyal friend next to Alcander, and she would gladly stand by him even in the most dangerous of situations. She highly trusts and loves him as not only her brother in arms, but her second best friend.
- Spanish-Doll - A spunky teenager who lives with Gelle. She sees Maria as a daughter as well as a trusted ally on the battle field.
- Arbiter Shade - Gelle's husband. Her love for him is unending, and it seems they have a strong bond.

- Red Komodo - A scientist who has always been nice to Gelle. They have a friendly acquaintance, though Gelle does not consider him close.
- Nicholas Williams - A mercenary in the isles, he seems to be a great helper, but she doesn't really know what to think about Nic.

[edit] Random History AKA: Gelle 101
The first version of Gelle was actually a character I made up for the DBZ AU's I used to write when I was in middle school, and later in high school when my friend Kelly and I had this kick ass story line that I STILL write and edit and stuff (...shhh thats our secret >.>...). I came up with her name completely randomly the night my friend Chris and I were going to Rp some DBZ stuff. I seriously just made up the name on the fly since I figured it looked pretty DBZish. I loved the character Gelle so much that I adopted her name as my gamer tag when I started playing online games. When I started CoX I decided I may as well go with the old classic name but I didn't want to be retarded and make a DBZ AU character in game so I just made up a whole different character all together. However, I think the fierceness and fire that was in the original version of Gelle rests in the new one...which..really..there is no new and old they're totally different concepts of characters they just share a name.
Through the 21 months I have played with this character I've rp'd from one spectrum of a story line all the way to the deepest end of a story line. You won't believe the things I've rp'd. You really, really wouldn't. Also, if I ever seriously say I am gonna kill Gelle off...it's probably a lie and I'm just mad at something...I generally get over it and my friends know it, especially Arbiter Shade, Arolence, and Frosted Barrage.
