Super Hero powers are so cliche nowadays. You have the science people who make the ultimate technologies that meld with the cutting edge of society. You have the technology people who have the gift of knowledge and weaponry to succeed in every job they tackle. You have the gifted who have some extra kick from a personal charm or other supernatural means. You also have the mystics that harness too much power and it forever changes their DNA to give them even more power. Finally, the mutants, who have somewhere down the line had their genetic coding changed which can be described best by evolution.

I am none of these, yet all of these.

I am indeed a mutant, for at birth I had the ability to create sheer force. The ability to place a protective bubble around myself and ward myself from nearly any offensive action placed against me. It developed, naturally; however, I've had both magic and scientific experiments in my family tree. I also have equipment that helps me regulate my energy levels to ensure that I don't pass out in the heat of combat. Even though all of this is impressive, it's not what defines me completely. In fact, it's hard to say where my most potent of powers comes from other than within myself. I simply force my will onto others, not telepathically or any sort of nature like that, but I just want them to completely lose focus on myself and stare off into space, that's no problem at all. I've done the same ideal but pushed them to a point that not even punching them have made them move. I've even made them think so highly of myself that they attack their friend next to them. It's something I innately have, but it's nothing like my genetic mutation nor something humans have just naturally. In fact, in all of my research, there's never been another case of this in known history, most of the time it's considered just telepathy but I guarantee that I have none.

Arrogant. He's willing to accept help from others, but he doesn't understand why anyone would need anyone but him, and he'll be vocal about it.

Nate's powers are rather hard to explain. His powers originate from his ability for force his will upon other via only his presence and his wanting to press this will upon them. He has no telepathy when it comes to mind control at all. He simply has weird reactions when he forces his will upon others. Some fall asleep, other become incapacitated, but this is all innately him and is something he's been personally training. However, he was still born apart from other humans. When he was a small child, he realized his had the ability to use shier force, whether it be lifting people into the air and not allowing them to move or putting a bubble of force around his friends. Between the two, Nate decided that taking his powers and using them for a greater good and went to Paragon City where he wanted to make a name for himself.
