For the most part, Erica lived a calm childhood. Her father began a successful business in downtown Toronto, Canada, where he sold extra-large paper clips to big-brand names. At the age of 4, they moved into a wealthy estate where the whole family would live for many years to come. Erica went to school like a normal girl, got B's like a normal girl, and got teased and made fun of, like a normal girl. But for the most part, Erica was not normal. She could read people's minds when they were close by or thinking about her, and control inanimate objects that were near to her with her brain. As this may be seen as an advantage to most, she did not see it as one. She would hear girls constantly making fun of the way she dressed, her hair, and her father and his useless business. One day, in 9th grade, as she was walking to English, a girl (specific name unknown) walked by her, thinking of rude nicknames for Erica. Sick and tired of being constantly made fun of and mocked, she brandished her powers for the first time on human beings. She threw the girl into a locker and slammed its door shut. Erica walked to her English classroom, fuming, her black head of hair beginning to turn a dark red color.
This process continued for weeks, unstopped. Erica would hear someone trashing her, and would lock them in an open locker (when no one was looking). She would then stroll away, casually, but burning with hate on the inside. Her victims took the information to the Headmaster, saying that they were strolling the hall, going to class, when they flew inside an open locker, and couldn't get out. Baffled, the school took the 19 accounts that they had received and investigated. They set up cameras in the hallways and alerted the student body. Erica stopped her attacks, not wanting to get caught. But, slowly and surely, her victims remembered that they had walked by Erica, just before being slammed into a locker. This preceded her expulsion from the school.
Erica's father, horrified at her actions and even more scared of the effect it would have on his social and business career, moved them to the Isles, where a rambunctious child was nothing to be investigated. And Erica went unnoticed, unspoken to, and unspoken of. She skipped college, and headed straight for Pocket D, knowing that that was a way to get some easy money in a hard time.

Over the years, Erica's ability to read minds progressed to the point where she could read people's minds from miles away, no matter if she wanted to or not. She could not stand hearing people's thoughts, no matter what they were. It confused her, and she could not tell the difference between what was being though and what was being spoken. She sought help from anyone who would give it to her, and found Dr. Roan Divers. He helped her control her out of whack powers, and be able to focus on one target at a time.
Our inside sources got an interview with him shortly after one of Erica's last visits with Dr. Divers, and after hours of getting him to talk, we have publicized this interview:
Interviewer: "Thank you for your cooperation, Dr. Divers. This will only take a few minutes."
Dr. Divers: "Hm."
I: "What did Ms. Fyn see you for?"
Dr: "She need help controlling her 'psychic' powers, or otherwise known as her ability to read others' minds and control things using her brain."
I: "Is it unusual to have a patient who comes in for those reasons?"
Dr: "Around these parts? Absolutely not."
I: "How long have you known Ms. Fyn?"
Dr: "Three years."
I: "Three? What have your appointments been like?"
Dr: "Simple. I take her through a few exercises, enforcing willpower into the brain, then we do some therapy. She is a strong woman, and is very stubborn. It has taken me a long time to get her trust, and I do not feel comfortable releasing any further information about her."
I: "Very well. Thank you, Dr. Divers."
Dr: "Hmph."

Many do not know that Fyn is not Erica's last name. She originally married George Fyn, an incredibly wealthy business associate of her father. It was a forced marriage, one that her self-absorbed father saw as a business opportunity he could not pass up. They married on January 27, 2005. Constant squabbles followed their marriage, and Erica's father tried desperately to keep them together. Soon, it was too much for Erica to bare. Not even a year after their marriage, Erica sought help. She could not be married to such an egocentric lunatic, she already had a father like that. Erica hired ReFreez and Freeksho, a notorious duo who had been seen around the Isles, causing mayhem. She went shopping with her friend (specific name unknown) and waited for ReFreez and Freeksho to carry out her wish: to kill her husband. In an hour, the deed had been done. Erica was not bothered with an accusation, since she had been out with her friend all day. And so, Erica was rid of her husband. She kept the last name, however, feeling that it suited her more than her maiden name, Mortimer.

- often slides the glass across the bar, being too lazy to walk over and hand it to them

- often feels as if no one hears her, which has lead her to her catchphrase: "Oh, for crying out loud!"
- wears her nametag that reads "Erica" at all times
- often calls her customers "mate" or "bud"

People's actions are often a reflection of their personality. Erica is wry, sarcastic, and witty. She did not get much of an education, but she is intelligent nonetheless. She in incredibly independent, and will not rely on anyone for just anything. This article about a character is a stub -- a small, but growing, work in progress.
