This character was originally made to roleplay in chatrooms before City of Villains even existed. When it came into existance, I was able to easily transfer him into the game due to the availability of the Plant Control and Thorny Assault sets. At first, I leveled him up all the way on Freedom server. Rather then simply transfering him to Virtue, I decided to start him over instead, with a more 'grown up' look that he lacked before due to his age. He remains to be one of the first meant-to-roleplay Plant dominators created.

[edit] Personality

Chance is sarcastic, eccentric, idealistic, random, usually assertive and is prone to blurting out what is on his mind during times of stress whether it be embarassing or hurtful. His sense of humour is clearly drawn from his sarcasm. After the betrayal of the Arachnos, Chance tends to be a bit more serious about life and nowhere nearly as playful as he was when first introduced into the Rogue Isles. His goal of preserving the environment usually comes above all else. Although noble in its own right, the cost at which dawns no concern. He is very well willing to kill those that stand in his way. Befriend him, and you will have someone willing to do anything to please you, make an enemy of him, and you're in for a world of trouble, literally.

[edit] Chlorokinesis/Xylokinesis

Chloro possesses powerful chlorokinetic abilities that allow him to manipulate vegetation and flora. Through mental will, he is able to animate and command all plant life around him to accomplish various acts, including the animation of vines and trees. His abilities seem to have unlimited potential.

Through concentration, Chloro has the unique ability to transfer stored nutrition from his own body and instill it within the vegetation around him, resulting in rapid growth. The process is completely natural and dawns no negative effects on either Chloro or the effected flora.

[edit] Floral Empathy

Chloro's mind is psionically linked to all immediate plant life around him, enabling him to communicate with such organisms on an empathic level. Because of this, he has the ability to 'feel' the pain of inflicted damage to his vegetative surroundings through psychological means. In this way, he receives the pain in the form of migraines, muscle spasms, stomach aches or other physical phenomena. Although viewed as a weakness, it also allows him to manipulate flora through more symbiotic and natural means.

[edit] General Anatomy

Like a plant, Chloro requires water, carbon dioxide and sunlight (or other sources) in order to survive and remain healthy. He is able to eat other foods, but these do not grant his body nutrition. His skin is composed of plant cells that possess a stronger cell wall compared to animal cells, granting him a minor resistance to physical harm. Chlorophyll fills his flesh and chloroplast is present through his blood stream, organs and just about every part of his body, maximizing photosynthesis. His plant anatomy is strictly coniferous, allowing him to easily survive within cold conditions. Although only known to a select few people, Chloro's blood also consists of an unknown substance that has the medical capabilities of strengthening animal white blood cells. For reproduction reasons, his body produces spores that exit from his body through his mouth, nose or pores. The spores are considered toxic to animals.

Chloro's body naturally produces a rare neurotoxin that is stored around his spinal cord and is concentrated through thorn-like structures that extract from his body at will. Through his childhood, he has learned how to 'project' the thorns through sheer will, the wounds created through such phenomena heal almost instantly and acquire minimal 'blood' loss.

Chloro is able to reproduce in two main ways; sexually as either an animal using obvious methods, or a plant using spores, or asexually as a plant using the process of fragmentation. Throughout his life, this fact has made his sexual orientation difficult to determine, even to himself.

Chloro is immune to almost all human and/or animal diseases, however he is vulnerable to plant-based diseases. He is also immune to most foreign fungi and plant-based toxins. Chloro has shown to be able to mock death in order to trick enemies that are ignorant towards his bodily functions. He does this by forcefully secreting a similar chemical found within corpse flowers that mimick the smell of dead animals. In general, his body does not produce enough body odour to register through human senses.

Botany is a subject in which he progresses in, sorely from his knowledge of himself and from all plant life around him. When he wants to know a certain aspect of a certain plant, he simply 'talks' to one.

Through years of various combat situations and honement of his own offensive abilities, Chance has evolved into an adept fighter. Although not on par with trained combatants, he has been known to hold his own in a melee situation if only for a little while, utilizing a mixture of street fighting and acrobatics.

When he's not protesting, destroying harmful factories or robbing banks, Chance can usually be found tending to plant life with care.

[edit] Vulnerabilities

• Chance suffers both mentally and physically from fire, steming from his severe pyrophobic mindset. The very sight of fire will cause him to panic, whether the source be friend or foe. His epidermis is prone to burns.
• Like previously stated, Chance requires water, carbon dioxide and sunlight (or other such sources) to remain healthy. If deprived from one of three ingredients for too long a time, he could very well slip into a coma and eventually die.

• The Luddites -During his first few days within the Rogue Isles, Chance quickly grew to love these ridiculous activists. He commonly refers to them as 'The sexy Luddites'. Although he has won most members over, there are a select few who find Chance sheer annoying.

[edit] Enemies

• Dr. Aeon -The day he became involved with the Luddites was the day he began to dawn a hatred upon the man.
• Thorn Tree -Despite Chance's ability to empathically communicate with all plant life, the Thorn Tree remains to be an exception; it never responds and resonates pure negative emotion and energy.

[edit] Trivia

• His favourite colour is obviously green.
• Chance has an excellent singing voice. He is known to sound similar to Depeche Mode's David Gahan. Incidently, it remains to be his favourite band.
• Although he keeps this to himself, Chance has a strange tendency to favour those of Middle-eastern heritage. The reason remains to be unknown.
• Chance loves to hang around bald people, but hates to be around people with long hair. The reason will never be known.
• Other then his plant-like necessities, Chance loves to eat chocolate. "The Cacao Tree is nature's best creation."
