Blaize is a character played by @Kai, a phoenix and current manager of Purgatory, Ardarel and Allekto's band as well as resident at Maggie's Rock.

[edit] Personality

Kenna by virtue of what she is is naturally a wanderer. While her appearance puts her at 16ish, she is far older than that and has seen more than she likes to admit. Very few people know her true nature or age, and none know everything about her past, though incidents creep up that reveal some of it. To most she is an extremely charismatic winged girl with an Irish accent of varying intensity, often talking others into promises and actions in a way that leaves no good way to back out of it. She is fairly inseperable from Gabe(Ardarel) and Alex(Allekto), but the nature of their relationships with each other remains something of a mystery that nearly all at the Rock speculate on, but none dare broach the subject directly, preferring oblique references and leading questions.

Kenna's powers are inherent to what she is, while popular literature sometimes gets it wrong, a lot of aspects of phoenix lore have basis in fact. She can create fire at will and is immune to all forms of it. She isn't reborn in it, but it does heal injury for her. She knows when she will die, phoenix live for exactly 500 years, but she can be injured and incapacitated like a normal human, just because she can't die from lack of air doesn't meant suffication isn't painful and won't cause her to fall comatose until such time she can be healed by flame.

Other aspects of her powers include phoenix song, the ability to evoke raw emotion in those who hear it. She refuses to use this power as she values human free will about everything, though incidents and comments point to her having done so in the past. Along with song, she has the ability to bond humans, extending their lives to match hers at the price of being linked to her mentally and emotionally. Kenna has expressed her abhorance for this as while it is the truest form of closeness and love, bonded humans emotions are subject to the desires of the phoenix, denying them free will to choose how they feel.

Most alchemical recipes calling for phoenix blood, feathers, tears, and ecetera are actually viable, so long as the material was given freely. Gabe and Alex carry alchemical pendants made from Kenna's blood which protect against fatal violent injury.

In addition to her natural abilities, Kenna makes use of a wide array of technological devices in crimefighting from smoke grenades to targeting systems, often obtained from Wyld Arms

Kenna is a clotheshorse with a wide array of outfits meticulously color coordinated. Most commonly she's seen in her hero outfit when working, orange with gold accents, and in simple black slacks and sleeveless band shirt when not. She has a very calculated look when she's in her role as band manager that exudes sex appeal and control, and is quite proud of having designed the performance outfits for Gabe and Alex. Generally everyday clothes include midriff style tops as they are cut to fit around and tie under her wings like her heroing outfit, and she is fond of wide sleeves.

Kenna is currently staying at Maggie's Rock as that's where Gabe and Alex are. She takes some classes but spends a lot of her time in a rented art studio painting, managing Purgatory's affairs, and angling for new toys at Wyld Arms
