[edit] Cast Iron Armor

Powerless, Nathaniel turned to his skills as a blacksmith to forge an armored suit made from cast iron. While the armor may look outdated by today's hero standards it is nearly indestructible. Bullets ricochet off the iron, the elements also have no effect. However, the armor is susceptible to acid.

[edit] Giant Iron Hammer

The hammer that The Blacksmith wields is also the one that forged his armor. He uses it to punish his enemies with an iron vengeance.

[edit] Heightened Physical Strength

While Nathaniel is in his old age, his life as a smith has made his body naturally strong.

[edit] Origin

Nathaniel Smith worked with his father, Jedediah Smith on their own small metal shop in Paragon City. From all around the city, Jedediah would salvage scrap metal to use in his iron creations. The very shop that the Smiths owned had been standing since the 1800's. That is until the big corporations moved into Paragon. Crey Industries was at the helm of the technological revolution. Quickly, the Smiths metal shop became outdated.

It was only a matter of time before the Smiths metal shop was put out of business and they would soon be forced to sell their property. Adamant Jedediah would not budge on the family property, even with Crey Industries hounding him. The Smiths made a stand and found no support from the city. Their old shack of a shop was merely an eyesore in the giant metallic kingdom that was becoming Paragon City.
