Beta Raven is generally very calm and collected with a slight sense of humor. He often operates as the team head because of his calm and clear thinking and willingness to speak up as needed.

Beta Raven's powers come, mostly, from years of karate training and the equipment of the liquid metal suit that is bound to his skin.
[edit] Invulnerability
The liquid metal suit that Beta Raven wears makes him practically immune to most forms of damage and highly resistant to attempts to bog down his movements or knock him around.
[edit] Energy Melee
Unlike some users of Energy Melee, Beta Raven's attacks are actually martial arts attacks empowered by high energy states from his armor to create a blast of energy at the same time that his attack impacts.
[edit] Additional Powers
The suit also augments Beta Raven's ability to leap, using powerful jump jets and hydrolics to allow him to reach heights as high as a quarter mile strait up, and cover similar lengths quickly with the thrusters. Beta Raven is also very fit, and this is augmented by the liquid metal around his body which helps him heal faster and recover from strain more quickly, as a result he is also capable of running faster than normal without tiring himself out.

David holds a third degree black belt in Karate, and has studied the martial art for decades. In addition, he holds a degree in law and prior to his accident was a lawyer working prosicution in super powered cases in Paragon City.
[edit] Weaknesses and Limitations
Beta Raven is particularly weak to psionic attacks and his suit quickly folds under ElectroMagnetic Pulses. It is also unknown if Beta Raven is still a distinct entity between him and his suit as all attempts to probe deeper than the armor have resulted in failure and th esuit itself will not extricate itself.
