| It is unknown which time the Alien Sentry comes from, only that he has traveled to our present from elsewhere in time. He was once a human whom was taken and experimented on. Given great strength and invulnerability. While in captivity he escaped through a shard within the rikti ship. The shard was part of a time traveling experiment. Alien Sentry then spent an unknown amount of years hurdling through time, until his reamergence in our present. | |

Alien Sentry started out as simply a Rikti Human hybrid, which I know has been done to death within the City of Heroes. I became inspired with a new twist once issue 11 introduced Ouroboros. I then had the vehicle for a new twist on my character and much more. I started to think what if the Rikti had gotten ahold of just a shard of the time traveling crystal. What if my hero, held in captivity at the time they did possess it, escaped from them using it. He would essentially become a Rikti "Most Wanted" and it would be in his best interest to be lost in time. That aspect alone allowed for a more mysterious character. What did he see and experience? I answered part of that in his first story arc, the formation of The League of Exiles.

When Alien Sentry emerges in the present he begins to enact change. Visiting hero after hero and revealing to them there fate in the future. Most of which are very uninspiring deaths. He then offers an alternative, a chance to make a difference. Using the shard he can pull each of these heroes out of time. Change there future by bringing them into Exile with him. Few of the heroes accepted his offer, others rejected him. Feeling there fate was truly up to them. In the end a League was formed a base of operations was established..within the Temporal Tower affectionately called the Clock Tower by its residents. And a plan was laid out, with the Alien Sentry's knowledge of future events, the League of Exiles would be there to alter the course of the future for the benefit of the world.

The Alien Sentry's personality is very unemotional when calm, very alien. Yet in the heat of battle his very human passion emerges. He does not seem to know himself if he is more Human or Rikti.
