[edit] Enemies
Her current greatest enemy, and most recently dealt with. During the apex of her Boxing career, Crey industries leaked information to the media explaining Alexia's origins in seedy illegal street fighting, as well as the illegal dealings of her manager. Soon after this, Alexia was banned from the league. While traveling home late one night, she was brutally beaten, and kidnapped by the Crey. They performed countless experiments on her over a six month period, eventually successfully attaching a Nanomachine control device directly to her brain. She was later rescued by Ms. Liberty. (See: History)
Recently, Alexia and her friend Holly confronted Countess Crey with a warrant for her arrest. After a fitting payback, they carted her to the Zig, and there she remains for now.
The current scourge to Paragon City, the Rikti are an entity in Alexia's worst nightmares, alongside many other Heroes and Civilians who's lives were destroyed by the original invasion. They murdered her Father, and ended the happiest part of her life. Alexia has no qualms about killing Rikti on sight, and has been known to do so.
[edit] Praetorian
Katharine, Alexia's Praetorian, attacked Primal Earth, and specifically Hyperion Force, after months of scattered attacks, abductions, and tortures, Katharine finally got her paws on Alexia. Alex was tortured, abused, and nearly killed by her Praetorian until Alexia got a chance to escape. Learning that Katharine was actually under the influence of her demoniacally corrupted suit, Alexia took Katharine's physical being into herself, or rather, into her own suit. After destroying the headband of the former evil counterpart to her nanomachines, Katharine awoke inside Alexia's suit, as the new consciousness of it.
Katharine can now, with Alexia's permission, take control of her body to fight from time to time. Otherwise, she acts as a micromanager for Alexia's suit.
[edit] Physical Description
Standing 5'6", Alexia is amazingly unscarred considering her occupation and history, with the exception of a single mended wound on her stomach, and a similar one on her back. She has dark skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair. She inherited the two latter from her mother, the former from her father. She's in great shape, muscles visible even when not flexing, but far from bulging. She has a small shoulder frame, providing her upper body with maneuverability, leading down to decent hips and thick thighs and legs, giving her excellent grounding in combat.
Recently, Alexia painfully grew wings out of her back. The small, downy soft feathers tend to twitch and move with her wings sporadic movements. Over time she gains more and more control over them as her body learns how to use the new additions.
[edit] Personality
A powerful leader, a loving friend, and a bitter enemy. Alexia does nothing she doesn't want to devote herself to. Generally open to most anybody and anything, she is very approachable. Always willing to help, Alexia goes out of her way to make everybody happy, even at her own expense.
Commanding, Alexia will take charge of something when she thinks she knows the best way to go about it, which led to her eventual leadership in Hyperion Force.
Soothing, Alexia has never ignored a cry for help. Be it from a Villain, or depression, she is there for her friends.
On some occasions, Alexia has been known to go cold, and emotionless. Usually when she's overwhelmed with stress or sadness, she will look at the situation from an objective standpoint, and cut people and things that make her sad. This rarely, if ever, happens.
[edit] Powers
- Suit
Alexia's powered suit consists of the Nano-machines she can control via her headband. This armor provides her with protection from all kinds of attacks and environments. It also boosts her natural strength by 100 fold, allowing Alexia to be on par with more "Super" heroes.
- Talent
Alexia was a very skilled Boxer before her run-in with Crey. Trained in several forms of Boxing, including Basic4, she is not an easy opponent in a straight fight.
- These abilities translate to Invulnerability, and Super Strength
[edit] Equipment
[edit] Alex's Armor
Nano-machines controlled by the headband wired into Alex's brain allow her to form her armor into any shape she has seen or encountered, including complicated machinery and even living tissue. These same nano-machines are also able to recreate and mend her own flesh on a subconscious level no matter what her physical condition.
[edit] Weakness & Limitations
- Alexia has little to no mental shielding, and is very susceptible to things like Mind Controlling, and Thought Reading.
- Alexia is often too overconfident, putting her in some dangerous situations.
[edit] Trivia
- Alexia's original concept was a combination of Samus Aran, Casca, and Batou.
- Alexia's Choir of Angel is Grigori. (Thanks to Semlin for that one)
- Alexia's themesong is currently "Heavyweight" by Infected Mushroom.
[edit] Character History
[edit] Alexia's Beginning
Alexia Katharine Dale was born on May 23rd, 1984, in King's Row. To Marian and Aden Dale. Only a few short months after birth, her father Aden enlisted in the United States military as a Marine. Her mother, Mariangela, was left to raise the child alone.
For 15 long years, Mariangela endured life alone with an often over-zealous and over-active daughter. Her only escape being another neighborhood housewife whom she would spend hours a day talking to. Finally, this seemingly perfect mother would no longer tolerate raising a child while her husband was gone in service. On Alexia's 15th birthday, she awoke in her home to a letter on her dresser. It explained her mother's anguish, regret, and affection for both Alex herself, and a woman she'd fallen in love with: The same housewife she'd spent so much time talking to. Mariangela fled with the nameless woman, leaving Alexia home alone, not to be heard from again.
It didn't take long for Child Protective Services to find Alexia (A concerned teacher questioned Alexia's faltering weight and hygiene) and tracked down her enlisted father. They called Aden home to raise the child he bore 15 years prior. Aden, a fanatical military man, was none too pleased about this. However, he stayed and did his best to father a daughter who barely knew him.
Alexia soon became intrigued by her father and his time in the military, constantly pestering him to teach her "Some cool moves.", which eventually he did(Glad that his daughter had taken such an interest). Thus began her trail into Boxing. This part of her childhood, Alexia recalls as the best.
May 23rd, 2002. Alexia's 17th birthday. (A day which, from this point on, she loathes) Alexia and a large group of her friends were staying at the apartment she and her father shared, when a large red light appeared in the center of it. This light immediately sent a wave of panic through the group of teenagers, several of them accidentally stumbling into, and being swallowed by the light. Aden snatched up his frightened daughter and fled. They drove for 3 solid hours to try and get out of the city, Aden convinced whatever these lights were, they weren't good. When finally the clock ticked to 7:30PM and Rikti began to pour out over the whole of the city. Riots ensued and and chaos overtook the highway Aden and Alexia were driving down. A small battalion of Rikti tanks rolling down the Skyway city road. A blast from one of the tanks sent their car rolling, nearly dropping them over the edge of the high risen street. Alexia was knocked unconscious by the blast and roll, Aden badly wounded. He pried himself and his daughter from the broken vehicle. Aden limped, his daughter in his arms, to the edge of the highway, as Rikti soldiers marched behind him. A single infantryman spotted Aden and casually walked over to dispatch him. As his final act, Aden concealed Alexia inside a service hatch for the highway's light system before confronting the soldier, his boxing no match for the Rikti's rifle.
Alexia rode out the initial attack inside the service hatch, escaping later to one of many civilian shelters, where she learned of her father's fate. There was nothing she could do, so there she stayed for the entire length of the war.
After Omega Team's sacrifice and the end of the war, Alexia found herself homeless and utterly alone. She enlisted into the Job Corps and began to help rebuild the city, specifically her home, King's Row. Shortly after she began her work, she was noticed by one of the last King's of the Row. He placed her into an illegal boxing match, odds heavily against her. Alexia was pitted against a man easily twice her size. The match was intended to just be a bit of 'fun' before the main event, but Alex proved to be far more interesting then that. In the first round, she let all of her anger out on the poor fool matched against her. By the end of that fight, both the man's arms were broken and he was left a pathetic sobbing mess on the dirty floor. The King, none too happy that one of his fighters being downed by a measly little girl he picked up for fun, ordered that she be taken, beaten, and killed. This order however, was intercepted and canceled, due to a hefty bribe by a talent scout who had witnessed the fight. The man launched Alexia's career as a professional boxer. She lived a life of fighting and glory until her 23rd birthday:
That day, her agent's seedy underground dealings and the Alexia's origins in illegal street boxing went public, due to an unknown source. Alex was banned from professional boxing, and was ordered to leave the Arena. As she was traveling home it happened, an unmarked van drove up to her at high speed and screeched to a halt. Several men in dark suits poured out and viciously attacked the downtrodden Alexia. She took one or two down, but eventually she was stuck with a syringe and the fight was over. They dragged her into the van and she disappeared from the radar for 6 months.
During this time, Alexia remembers very little. Awakening for only moments before Lab-coat wearing men would notice and put her under again. For 6 whole months she was kept under, as the Crey, her abductors, performed experiment after experiment on her. Attempting to create an artificial Hero. The project was a success, and she was shipped to a brainwashing facility in Crey's Folley. She wasn't there long. Ms. Liberty and a group of Longbow broke into the base, quickly dispatching the guards and freeing the one captive they had.
Alexia was debriefed (Though intentionally left in the dark as to the identity of her captors.), and Ms. Liberty explained to her, that despite D.A.T.A.'s best efforts, the machine attached to her forehead could not be removed safely. It was hardwired directly to her brain. Her boxing career ruined, and all those she loved missing or dead, she had nothing to lose. She elected to leave them on, and with D.A.T.A.'s training, and Ms. Liberty's blessing, she joined the Hero Corps.
