Aetherfade is a character played by @Kai, a colorblind albino rescued from the depths of Orenbega in the winter of 2007

Selene spent 10 years in Orenbega with Chase Gellen, the Midnight Squad hero known as Aetherflare, after the Circle of Thorns killed her father and abducted them. As a consequence she is incredably shy, very skittish, and becomes very nervous around more than 3 or 4 people in a small area. She trusts her rescuers, Jericho Stone, Kid Leech, Fire Child, and Belinda Freez, implicitly however. She is something of a klutz, being physically 15 but mentally more like 9 or 10.

Selene has a strange ability to absorb magic. Spells directed at her, helpful or harmful, are not near as effective as they should be. Soon after her rescue, it was discovered she can release this absorbed magic, mostly in the form of fire used by the Circle of Thorns against her. She can't control the form the magic takes when she releases it, as its usually under stress. She has a preternatural skill with a bow as well.

[edit] Physical and Outfits

Selene's albinism and silver-white wings give her an exotic look, but her innate shyness and childlike behavior lead to most seeing her as more a cute curiousity instead. She suffers from blue cone monochromacy as well as albinism, leading to her heroing outfit being monochromatic in a light grey so she can distinguish it easily. It is a basic one piece variant of a wresting singlet with a belt, with which she wears heavy duty boots and hand wraps to protect her arms from the bow string. Her other clothes were picked out with the help of Jericho, Amelia, and Jessie so they have some color, though in pastels to not make her look any paler than she already is. They are mostly tshirts and jeans with which she wears sneakers and headbands, sometimes gloves as well.
