The Threat Level.
An amusing notion, the numerical categorization and ranking of Freedom Corp-unaffiliated metahumans into 50 levels. No more, no less. A half-hundred.
Often have I forgotten the one attributed to my own person. Of course, some plausible deniability leaves its influence on my reputation up to the individual.
Recently, it came to my attention that I lack field data on the renowned Freedom Phalanx's effectiveness as a team. Having heard of Lord Recluse's usual requested task, I took it upon myself to lend assistance to such a Strike Force.
The Vindicators lie vanquished in our wake. And now, Ms Liberty is our target. Her kidnapping will almost invariably draw the Freedom Phalanx into a controlled research scenario.
Admittedly, it is rather uncivil of me to not share my own goals with that of the ensemble. But, they would likely not be interested.
Ah, a brief opening.
Two of his smaller robotic associates flew past their creator as he slowly took aim with his Pulse Rifle. Ms Liberty turned from her melee opponents for just a moment, and her eyes met the emotionless visor of the 12th King's field armour.
How intriguing.
A glancing blow from my personal armament. Hardly enough to sway the tide of the battle.
And yet, in that brief moment of notice and recognition, a ripple effect occurred. Perhaps her notice, a Longbow operative's notice, an uttered word, an open communications channel...
A brief infonet scan reveals that I am now classified as Threat Level 50. For a moment, I find it interesting that I had already been classified in the upper 40s.
And now, the peak of their small and short-sighted classification system. One may take pause, and allow a moment of egotism to state that it is the right of a sovereign ruler to hold such a title.
However, the moment is all but non-existant. My equipment is prepared to track the data of the fully-operational Freedom Phalanx.
Such a constructive day.
((12th King was my first CoV character idea, back when the initial info came out. He was my main character in the beta, and was rolled up on Virtue within minutes of CoV going live.
On Monday, April 9 2007, he achieved Threat Level 50 after Ms Liberty fell in the penultimate mission of the Lord Recluse Strike Force. The day ended with the successful completion of my first ever LRSF attempt, the badges that come with it, and 12th King's final ding.
My first 50 villain, and second 50 in the game. I wanted to take a brief moment to pat myself on the back.

Oh, and everyone who helped me out on him! Especially those who helped me farm for the Bling badge way back, so I could content-OCD storyarcs on him. :D ))
